One episode after the other, Aamir has perhaps managed to do what no other actor has done so far: create a national stir. He has caused state governments to take action against illegal practices.
So when Aamir chose to do an expose on the malpractices in the Indian medical system, little did he know the huge impact that episode would have. Although certain doctors were angered by Khan's expose which they felt was portrayed incorrectly, our politicians are mighty impressed with the actor.
Aamir Khan will now makes his way to the Indian parliament on Thursday morning (21st June 2012) where he has been invited by Rajya Sabha MP, Shanta Kumar who belongs to the BJP party, as told to sources. (Shanta Kumar heads the parliamentary standing committee on commerce).
Sources further reveal that the actor has been invited to share the research he and his team did to expose the level of corruption and unethical practices adopted by the medical fraternity.
No matter what critics have to say about the show, Aamir Khan through Satyamev Jayate continues to open the public eye and stir the government to take action. A smart way of having a political impact without being a politician. Great going Aamir!
