😆😆 no I'm not a doctor. I used to baby sit a child whose nose would bleed frequently because of asthma attacks . The mother used to leave icebags in the freezer, in case it happened in my presence. (Icecubes wrapped in handkerchief). The child would then rub the icebag up and down his nose...and the bleeding would stop. The mom explained that it constricts the nose vessels.

I believe that anandi is doing a variation of this by putting cold water on his head ... particularly if ice is not readily available. The child would also put the icebag on top of his head.

Also, what anandi did, tying the handkerchief above the elbow is the correct thing to do. It restricts the blood flowing upward to the face and the neck temporarily, thereby giving the nasal capillaries relief.

Anandi is a very smart girl. 👏👏

@tinoo and @ dr3vl, when I was young ,we went to Kanpur in summer. Suddenly in the after noon we will experience nose bleeding. Local people told us it is due to heat. The mucous membrane in the sinus area gets dry and tear off . That is the reason for bleeding. But it was nothing to worry about. They told us to tie a wet hand kerchief around the head. The extreme dry heat causes this.
