Last year Gurmeet and Debina had quiet wedding at home with very close friends and family. The couple talk about their relationship.
How we met
We met in Bombay when we both participated in a talent hunt contest. Though the contest turned out to be futile and did not help us much, it did bring the two of us together.
Knowing he was the one
I once went for a shoot to Chennai but by evening, I started missing him so much that I made him come there by telling him that I had forgotten to get something and he should carry it along. And he did come along! I was in love.
Knowing she was the one
We used to meet everyday and other than a few minutes we would be together all the time. Only when I came to Colaba to stay with my parents, once, that I realised how much I wanted to see her again. I left for the suburbs at 2 am to meet her because I felt I just had to see her. That is when I realised that I loved her.
On our honeymoon
We went to Bangkok and Malaysia.
Our mantra for happy marriage
We are like chalk and cheese and also like water and milk - we are so similar yet we are so different. And that is what works in our relationship. We are so very happy. Seven year of togetherness culminating into lifelong commitment. It had been a beautiful journey and will be yet more beautiful.
