I remember before I was leaving for Poland from India ... I saw Akshara deciding to leave for her own home or apartment? ... or was it?
Akshara leaving for her own home? OMG that was in january 2010 i think..😆 you haven't followed the show since then?😆 a lot has happened since then..😆
the poor girl has suffered a miscarriage..😔 that one track, you should watch it.. it was commendable..😊
Her in laws were particularly amazing... specially an old man with round eyes! 😆
hahaha you mean Daddaji right? the person who played that character has been replaced with someone else.. this one's particularly sweeter..😆
well, Daddaji, the eldest in house, he was a strict patriarch.. Akshara initally had a difficult time adjusting to his ways, but now, things have changed between the two.. it has become a father-daughter relationship between the two..😃
Why she dont have a apartment, and visit sometimes? Or is it ok for Indian girls to take so much control and denial of authority or rights or a chance to decorate her own nest when at the most special time of her life?
Akshara is shown to live in a joint family.. while in a nuclear family in India, most of the wives have their ways, but unfortunately in joint families, it's the MIL who has control over the house for like forever.. they won't let bahu take command over.. it is not just about Akshara's MIL, but a general MIL in particular..
I love families, and I love the bonds! Although its true I am not used to, and this is not how I was born or grown up. But still I love this in law and their care, and its true that one should take care of the parent. But when parent is like this, who wish no right for the grown children, then can peace prevail in home in India? ...
peace can prevail in such households only when you have a mentality like Akshara, to be true.. there were instances when her own blood relatives were insulted by her in-laws but that girl didn't even say a word..😲
but even with people like Akshara around, there is no gaurantee that peace will prevail - because of MILs like G3.. that lady..😡 she's more horrendous than your round eye man, im telling you..😆

How Akshara bear so much, specially the round-eye man, I never understood
this one question kills us as well..😕 let me get back to you when i find it's answer..😆

but one reason may be that she's brought up this way.. 😕

Are you sure Akshara left on 2010? ... as I came India on late 2010 and left India during Summer of 2011. Maybe someone else left, and I remember it as Akshara 😆, or maybe I confuse with time 😃 ... who knows, its all so similar sometimes 😊. But yes, I wish she left and had her own home. Why is this considered wrong?
It seem that her in laws are wealthy, young enough, everything is perfect ... so no need to take care specifically with constant survaillance. Maybe what I am saying will be frowned upon in India, but I don't know anything better in her circumstances. The way she lives is very depressing sometimes. Its surely possible to live in in laws when they give space, but she doesn't even seem to have right on her husband, or now her own son! ... as a mother, I will not be able to share my status for my son with anyone else, its not possible. Is this just European? ...I am sure mothers in India would feel the same.
Would you (or others in the forum) be comfortable living with a family like Akshara have? 😊

you know what Di, it is our dream to see Akshara settling down on her own..😃 but i don't think it's possible because here also, the DIL will be blamed.. My DIL created the distance between me and my son.. this was shown in YR plenty of times.. with Gayatri's patent dialogue being, 'humara munna pehle toh aisa nahi tha' implying, Munna was never like the way he's now.. it's Gayatri's way of taunting Akshara..
here, the major problem is that husbands too, care about their mom than their wives.. they expect their wives to adjust in most difficult of situations as well.. and moving out of home, is a huge decision to make and wife alone cannot do that.. she needs her husband's support and unfortunately, not many wives do get that support.. Akshara is one lucky girl here.. Naitik IS always there by her side.. but she herself doesn't want to leave the household, so nothing can be done..

yess exactly! no one would be able to tolrate so much interference in their lives.. but Akshara, is a saint.. she believes - this is what seems - that her MIL can take care of her son better than herself, so she never utters a word.. ridiculous isn't it?😕 that post of mine - An afterthought, in which you commented, explores the same thing..Is this just European? ...I am sure mothers in India would feel the same.
it is nothing about being European and Indian.. Mothers all across the globe feel the same for her child.. it's just that Akshara is at times, sometimes portrayed larger than life..

not at all, to be honest..😆
actually, i have always lived in a nuclear family.. that is why, even when i go to my grandparent's place, i find it somewhat difficult to adjust.. i know it's wrong, but i try to adjust everytime i go to their place.. when it's a matter of just a few days, i don;t find any problem, but when the stay gets prolonged, it gets a bit irritating..
living in Delhi, and that too in a nuclear family has definitely taken a toll on me.. i do whatever i feel like, but in Kolkata, where my grandparents live, i don't get much freedom..
may be it's just now that im saying that i cannot live in a joint family.. i might live as well, u never know..😉 but yess, im sure it won't be out of my will initially..

a few years ago, i used to think joint family is a great thing.. i still believe it's awesome to stay with your entire family.. but now, after analysing much, i have understood that it has it's cons as well..
here in Delhi, you find a different kind of joint family system though.. and if given an opportunity, i'd love to stay like that..

here, it's like family lives in the same builing, but on different floors.. they occupy different flats in same apartment.. one of my neighbours, they are a family of 3 brothers.. and each brother occupies one floor of a building.. that way, they're together and get their own space as well.. i love this idea..😃
