because it's based in lahore ...they took the L from lahore and ollywood from wannabe hollywood. just like bollywood is based in bombay and they took b from bombay and ollywood from hollywood.

this is not fair gals and guys i know more then from u about lollywood i know recent movies of pakistan have very very bad impact e.g badmash guger,budha gujer ect
u know 70% of ppl of pakistan r living in villages still these kinds of movies running in that backword area but upper and middle class of pakistan consist of 30% r not interested to see this kind of movie i also dont see that movies but if we go far past then we came to know that many pakistani movies r most most better then indian movies like armaan,insaaf aour qanoon,sarfaroosh anarkali ect i became very sad when i read all ur post about the topic WHY LOLLYWOOD and this is our major problem we dont appreciate our own things irrespective of this we make laughter club please dont do that i know recent movies of pakistan r not able to see but due to this reason we sould not make laughter club about lollywood its the name of our film industry its good or bad no prob its film industry of pakistan i hope u ppl will understand my point of view recently some new pakistani movies r aired on cinema KOI TUJH SA KAHAN,KIOUN TUM SAY ITNA PYAR HAI,SALAKHAIN,ETC they r high bujet movies but response is average because 70% ppl of pakistan r villagers and not interested to see that movies

well maybe like how indian actors have started ditchin the "bollywood" tag and have started calling it the "hindi film industry" or "indian film industry"..pakistan can jus call thurs the "pakistani film industry"..hehe tho it is less catchy than Lollywood, I think its better, cuz it shows that the films,etc arent just hollywood-wannabes.. 😃
