I have been watching hindi soaps (daily serials) since 1994..with Shanti -Ek Aurat Ki Kahani... if you guys know it or not...(back then i was in my high school)...

and i really don't remember how many Ekta's shows i have watched.. where every other day there would be the change of actors.. lead characters coming back to life from death .. untimely demise of leads ..abrupt end of shows.. innumerable leaps in a show,..innumerable DNA testing for the parentage and innumerable infidelity cases.

I am used to all these over the last 12 years (since Kyunki days) so Gia leaving SNS is not a as bad as it seems.. for me at least...😊

The other day i watched a movie Rann (Amitabh starrer ) then there is page 3.. then there is Fashion.. all these movies reflect the murkier story running behind the closed doors in the showbiz.. in the entertainment channels.. and in the news channels...

so yeah it's not that Gia is sweet as gopi which matters.. it is the dirty and murkier politics which goes behind in the channel and PH and the actors...

We audience see and accept the actor as a character.. but there is a thin line of difference between and actor and a character...

Life is all about expecting the unexpected ... we thought Gia will be forever our Gopi Vahu.. but alas .she is not...let's accept the fact..

when in real life.. if we get a better job opportunity with better place to work and better company and the best of pay-checks.. will you accept the offer or not.. we do.. we will not stay loyal to the old company.. do we..

similarly Gia needs to move on.. be it the channel's fault or Gia's own decision we are still not clear.. let things in the background go on.. we should be happy that the show is still running ..

as there is a famous line - The show must go on...with Gia or without Gia

and Lastly...we haven't seen the new Gopi's (Devoleena's) work.. we are not sure how she will enact gopi.. is it fair to pass judgement regarding her without watching her work... she is just a new recruit (with similar skill set )who is filling in the vacant position created by the old employee (Gia) ... so why are everyone affected so much ..

because just we have an attachment with the firs home.. first car.. we do have attachment with our first gopi.. but later on when we buy a new car and new home we get used to it with time and love it with in some time.. same will be with the new Gopi (Debolina)

I would stick around SNS as long as the track is good .. and would say All the best and bid a farewell to Gia 👏 and accept the new Gopi Deboleena Banerjee...🤗 with open arms...

I have been watchin serials since 1999 when kyunki started, zee tv shows, et all. Since then I am an addictive tv aholic.
Well.debolina.. Hope she does good and I see tomorrow hw show goes,
Farewell gopi aka gia..
Leaving and new actress comes isnt a huge matter to me cause in every serial it happens

Am with you. I grew up on a diet of ekta shows so am fine with characters being replaced on the drop of a hat. Accidents memory loss fire anything s oki with me 😆 yeah obviously anyone will choose a better opportunity. Yeah welcome new gopi with open arms. It will still be a gopi ahem story wont it?

Well said about actors also being employees in their own profession. It is true that change is the order of the world.. There is nothing I can add to what you have written except that though we have attached our self to Gia as Gopi, it is only fair to give the new girl a chance to show her talent.
I cannot comment on whose fault or where the blame is or even if this is a mistake. The decision has been taken and there is a new lead. The story will continue.

We have lots of different opportunities for new plot lines and as long as the story remains the way it has been these last two years, I will stick by it. '

The story and the team made the serial and I will like to look at this as a better opportunity for Gia to showcase her skill sets in a different way..

I join you to wish Gia all the very best for her future. and welcome Debolina😛 I hope that we continue enjoying SNS as before

Great post Munni.

True, actors come, raise the status of the show and leave.

For whatever their reasons for their departure, we can only speculate. An official statement may come to settle the speculation. However the serial continues and the essence of it needs to be relayed till it comes to its end.

We have plenty to look forward to as the story has developed and taken shape.

We need to understand that shows like this involves team effort. Whilst few get the credit, credit lies with all cast and crew.

I have nearly watched half of ektas serials she kills her lead pairs and then brings them back or changes there face its nothing new for the tv world

Amazingly put people!!

Lovely though Giaa is I don't watch the show for her, I watch it for the characters - Ahem, Gopi being the main ones but also Koki, Rashi and Urmi, well the whole family really so as long as the characters stay true to who they are and the story proceeds in the manner it is then I will continue watching. (Saying that if Nazim ever left - touch wood, fingers crossed he doesn't!!- I would be majorly upset but I'd still watch the show!!)

They do it on the British soaps all the time, it's just taken for granted that either the actor didn't want to come back or the producers didn't want him/her back so we adjust.

Gopi will still be Gopi and Ahem will still be Ahem and who knows it may be a move for the best.
