I agree with you Harpz, we are indeed regressing, what wtih all the masala maar dhaar movies.

there is nothing wrong with masla maar dhaar fillm if there is STORY and makers make effoprt to make good films

these days they sign BIG STARS remake south fillms and say just show your stardom with 6 pacs no need for stpry

in 80's this is what hapenned minus 6 pacs sign big star where he beats up heorine molesting villians whole heorine dances and singhs about her chikani kamar

May be YES! but i agree with what some people said here, there is hope!

problem is when these masla films make MORE money than real cinema these real movies get SIDELINES buy audince themslf

I read topic about someone ranting againts "art" fiolms why we should not need them

so what should we do just make bollywood ALL MSALA movies and forget script and acting

i feel these media and bollywood itself giving ALL SUPPORT to masla genre and now treating "art" films as stepchildren since they dont bring as mollah as bodyguard

but as I said sooner or later same belessing will become CURSE and people will ask WHAT WENT WRONG???

this movie was as "BLOKBUSTER " MASLA MOVIE AS IT CAN GET BUT THEY NEVER SACRFICICED FOR GOOD STORY AND GOOD DIRECTION

Producers definitely have a herd mentality. Dabangg and Wanted brought back the era of masala films and other stars and producers have followed suit. But lets not forget that when films like Rowdy Rathore were being conceived so were films like VD, PST and Kahaani which went against the trend.
