But ive my reservations with d glorification of d evil lady. well come on brvv, she is painted larger than life ,has to be .. if she has to pitched against Dutta, who is the apple of her mothers eyes, but a thorn in her flesh!
She had no respect nor feelings for any relation, she was consumed by hatred n greed for power. nope she is eaten by being unloved, rejected, despised, steeped in lower expectations that have of her..kala can do no good... She had to be in control n manipulated every situation to suit her needs.this was called survival, she had to survive,with out her mothers' support in informative years. She was beyond redemption.. her redemption is that she lived,which ever way ,good or bad.. those days where she struggled for nurturing affection,were over, now the time was here to show how some one else 's negligence at their duty has left marks on her.. the day she poisoned damodar she lost d little sympathy that i felt for a small girl who was traumatised by d death of her father. She can only be compared to a psychopath who disguised her nature under d garb of suave talk n classy mannerisms.but nevertheless she is real, secretly we harbour the gambit of emotions she has,feeling rejected, to covet for affluence, the rage syndrome, and sometimes to be driven to kill,...and yes ofcourse she stands for deception being not what you really are.. keeping up appearances... smooth operator.. To me everythg about her was repulsive, there is no parallel to her evilness, even d mythological demon king Ravan fared better...he had immense luv for his siblings, n never forced himself on Sita even after kidnappg her, they had some ideals. excellent analogy.. interesting..
But kalawati was beyond my understandg n i always felt she was given undue importance more than dutta himself n above all d show till Mishal,s time revolved around kalawati frustrating my sensibilities.😕 yesss i remember that BRVV.. mujhe sab yaad hai , colors ke dirty games😡... but I also felt that it was a commmon practice in GEC.. to show evil butting in whenever the goodies meet, their shot would be iterrupted by the evil one's scene.. to maintain a balance of good and evil..

What made her a more dangerous enemy was that she did nt wantd to kill her enemy though later she did try but hated dutta to that extent that wanted to let him live a life worst than death. .Cruel good point...she possibly could have shown it this way, would have enough sharpenened her character even more... would have certainly confirmed her madness.. but the writers.. made the story to predicatable .. hence her attempting to kill him.
.. that is the most apt word for her here. .A very imp. Point highlited by you that does she actualy wantd to become like dutta. .If the root cause of her haterd against dutta was her mother giving too much importance to him. It do hve an impact when a girl child is neglected over male child..such negativity could develop in her. .but on the other hand why did nt leela n roops had such complaints. .
to me Warrie. Kala was the eldest daughter who had to share her mothers love with this dutta, the others,Leela aur Roops,were secure... because they like as always had their older sister Kala also alongside their mother as being the substitute protective and maternal figure.. but who did Kala have for in place of AS... NO ONE!
maybe kala was more sensitive or she was hiding behind this excuse to justifiy her acts against dutta. .moreover as it was shown that she devolped that haterd against dutta when she was too young. .wonder why a mother never figured this negativity in her child. .I agree with all the points raised regarding her relationship with others.
