I had an unexpected day off today so I thought I would pay tribute to AarYa in their gorgeous nightwear:
Here is the first, untouched version:
And here is a tweaked version of the same with some not so fancy effects š:
Enjoy the beauty that is AarYa! š
----------
1. He does not like Scindia bahus working
2. She was making a scene in the middle of the street (tamasha)
3. She is in a profession that puts her in the public eye, thereby defaming the clan widely
4. It makes it look like his son cannot "control" his wife which is a sign of immasculation
5. He feels cheated because he was clear that she could not work and she married into the family anyway and defied him
6. She is doing "hasi-mazaak" with strange men while her husband sits at home
Where Prateek and Paridhi Were Right
1. Prateek did not rat on his mother, though there was a moment of tension. He took all the responsibility himself and claimed she was going because he wanted her to
2. Paridhi talked about how much respect she commands as an RJ (nice try!)
3. He spoke out against SP and told him he does not feel comfortable sharing his life's questions with him because he has not given him that right
Where Prateek and Paridhi Were Wrong
1. He pitched it to SP like he had not made a huge mistake by lying; as though it was implicit that he had the right to change the rules of the house. Whether the rules are right or not is something that must be discussed head on, the way Yash wanted to do.
2. He completely changed the subject and went below the belt, bringing the Yash-Aarti issues into this conversation. It was clear he wanted to make his dad feel vulnerable and was trying to use his blackmail ammo. This was not at all honourable on his part as he was somehow trying to pardon his mistake by pointing out SP's. He was using AarYa for his own purposes. Not cool.
3. Paridhi immediately packs her bags, as though this is the only solution. I gotta say though their parting conversation was hilarious! š You couldn't help but think they saw the romance in being starcrossed lovers who were never meant to be and died far apart but with each others' names on their lips... I was totally with Aarti on that indulgent smile.
What Aarti did Right
1. She kept quiet during the incident as it happened and did not try to speak to the seniors (our baby is finally learning! š <= KKA)
2. Prateek was clearly not helping Paridhi but only getting her into more of a state so Aarti first pacified the little sparrows, before they tried to fly from the nest, and made them see past tomorrow to the rest of their lives, in which they would have to stick together. She went for the place she had the most influence first. I also loved that she used Yash as a role model!
3. She mediated between the two brothers but in the least intrusive way possible, which was sweet.
4. Yash I think felt distance from Prateek at the way his brother had behaved. He was disappointed but probably also a little shocked to see this new, confrontational Prateek who he did not know. Aarti was perfect in reminding him that Prateek was indeed still the chotey that Yash always knew, the one that needed his guidance more than anything.
5. She immediately applied her preachings and Yash's to her own practice. I loved that she can't tell others what to do without thinking about it for herself.
6. She decideds to tell Yash the truth.
What Yash did Right
1. He stopped his father from doing something he would later regret, hitting Prateek.
2. Although he was nursing his own wounds at Prateek's betrayal, he told him to go to his wife
3. He let Aarti influence his decision and his behaviour because of his genuine respect for her
4. I just love the way he broke out of his silent treatment for Prateek! He was always working himself up into a rage and them calming himself down.
5. He reminds Prateek of all the lies he has told and how that has led him here, mainly the one that he told to Paridhi that she could work after marriage. It also showed how much they shared before the marriage as well, if Yash knew about all the conversations and discussions of the two young love birds.
6. He ends the admonition with a lesson, not just for Prateek but for Aarti too...
Asides:
The Yash-Ansh scene was too cute! I love how they have a totally absorbing relationship of their own now where they can forget the world in each others' company. Yash became a kid again himself with Ansh and though I think Aarti is going to be part of his healing, I think Ansh already is!
The precap actually got me really excited because Payal and Palak are finally coming front and centre and i am quite confident that Aarti will win this round for the home team!
Ansh was adorable when he was so sure that he was the only think holding his parents back from kissing. I love how self-absorbed kids can be. He was so cute with the, "guys, what's the hold up? I promised I was ok with it, didn't i? Or is your bum still sore from last time?" š¤£
