Helen doesn't have kids of her own...the Khan siblings with the exception of Arpita are all Salim and his first wife's kids!

Salim has himself admitted in an interview that one of the reasons why Salman is so temperamental and violent was because of his second marriage to Helen...Salman is extremely attached to his mother and he was pretty much broken up when his father decided to marry again! And the only reason why he patched up with his father and accepted Helen as part of the family was because of his mother's wishes for a reconciliation and keeping the family intact!

this is really news to me...guess, we learn something new everyday...

So, is Salman the oldest?

That's sad to hear...poor him to have to go through all that... Divorces, EMAs, or second marriages really break the kids psychologically especially when the kids are very young or teenagers.

Reading this thread makes me think that many on this forum know little about BW apart from bashing stars.

I'm very surprised many didn't know the arpita adoption story or how arbaaz/sohail/salman/alvira are salim and salmas kids. 3/4 of those are in the limelight so it's not like they are unknown either so just surprises that nobody knew.

Yup, Salman is the oldest, followed by Arbaaz, then Alvira and then Sohail! (Not sure, if Alvira comes after Salman or Arbaaz!)

Salman is pretty close to his mother and even though she has converted to Islam following her marriage to Salim Khan, Salman considers himself to be half-hindu because of his mother's lineage.

Yup...kids find it almost impossible to forgive one parent's betrayal agains the other...even if the parents in question have made peace with each other!

Not everyone is Bollywood obsessed! Most people come on the forum to just chat and gossip...not get into the life-histories of people!

The Khan family might be well-known, but they are also a very private and close-knit one...so its actually quite natural, that not much is known about them in person!

Even Salman Khan, who has forever been in the limelight for more than 2 decades now, never speaks about his personal life...whatever people know about him are either rumors or perceptions based on what the people in his life think and say about him!

Till date, no one knows what really transpired between Salman and Aishwarya...and they are both two of the most recognized and known people in India and amongst Indians world over!

If someone wants to keep their lives private, no amount of intrusion from the media or fans can compel them to open up!

PS: As far as I can remember, there has been no official comment from the Khan Family regarding Arpita! They have just let everyone assume what they want to. Hence, the confusion amongst fans and public alike regarding Aprita and the Khan Family! (More so, because she looks distinctly unlike the other Khan siblings!)

Reason of their break up was fair & handsome creams that she was demanding Arjun Kapoor from long time but that hapless could not afford them to her so finally Arpita aka Salman's sister called off her relationship with him..

Arjun wasnt very good looking either when he dated Arpita. He looks better now that he has lost weight.

This probably kind of explains why Salman empathized with Arjun and took him under his wings. Though sometimes I wonder if Arjun was manipulative and dated Arpita to get favors from Salman. 🤔
