Shiv is a smart guy. I guess he understood that Heth Singh is a proper politician who plays politics with people(his re-collection of HS's words soon after he left)..also he noticed there is something fishy between A and HS...hence he is trying to make Anandi speak . But for all we know A is never that kind who bitches bad about people behind their backs even if it's her enemies. So Shiv probably comes to know of all this by some other means...
Their love track is slow and steady..both of them are matured, good natured and smart enough to evaluate each other before investing their emotions in this soon to be started relationship. Anandi gained this smartness of evaluating people from her former relationship...while Shiv probably gained it through his education!
