Chapter 1:
"I love you Khushi!" with that Khushi got up with a jerk from her afternoon nap. These four words have been causing havoc to her body ever since he confessed them to her over the phone. Questions began piling up in her mind as why would Arnavji say that and of all the times WHY now? After he knew about Shyamji she thought! She was beyond reason now and soon gentle sobs rocked her thin form and she couldn't stop them not was she trying to, she let fresh saline drops rolls of her cheek.
A whirl wind of emotions had passed through her and she couldn't understand why Arnavji told her those magical words. Why does he do this to me? Why did he affect her so much even after all the suffering and pain he put her through.
But she knew something was terribly wrong, heart beat furiously telling her everything was not well with her Arnavji.

A cruel laugh could be heard over the phone, that voice said "Keep him alive, but when I come there he must be conscious and yes! Give him his medicines on time and keep you guard, no one should learn that he is with us." With that the line went dead.

Arnav Singh Raizada for the first time was helpless even after having all the money in the world. It could nothing to free him from this situation; he unsuccessfully tried the millionth time to free his hands from his bindings. But they didn't loosen at all.
The phone was right in front of him and after talking to Khushi and revealing his true feelings for her his heart felt light, he thought it might burst. He was happy that she knew he loved her.
The same happiness and love mad his heart yearned to hear his beloved wife's musical voice again.
He was willing to hear it again at any cost.

Khushi paced up and down the room. She went downstairs to make herself some jelabi's when she heard Shyam on the phone and heard harsh cruel laughter and then he said he will be there in a while.
Doubts began in her mind, could Shyamji do this she wondered.
Nahi Khushi he might be a bad man but I don't think he could do this, she told herself. Her mind agreed to this logic of hers but her heart didn't accept this CRAP.
