Jungle Main Hum Tum

Her teeth clattered as she walked back to the camp side with him She wished their car hadn't broken down here. Help wouldn't arrive until after dawn. Like the last time they had come to this jungle she had gotten drenched. However this time the sudden heavy rain had done the deed. They reached back to their tent. She needed to be mad at him. He had made the plan after all.

She leaned out to squeeze the water out of her hair. She felt warm hands encircle her by the waist and then suddenly she was in his lap. She glared at him. He caressed her cheeks and pushed back her hair.

"Toh meri jungle billi naraz hai hum se?"

She rolled her eyes. She struggled to free herself. Suddenly he pinned her on the ground. She stared up at him. He leaned down and kissed her forehead. She started clattering her teeth. He turned concerned. He looked into the bag he had with him He had her sit up and started drying her hair.

Her things were back in the car. They only had the emergency bag he usually kept when he traveled. He took out a spare t-shirt and indicated for her to change.

She in return hesitated but took it from his hands and indicated for him to turn around.

She changed quickly and then tapped him on the shoulder. They were newly married but still behaved like strangers at times. She handed him the towel and other remaining clothes. She set her wet belongings to dry. After he got changed he peered out.

"Manyata it has stopped raining. I'll start a fire," he stated.

She nodded.

She emerged from the tent. She watched as he secured the blaze and encased it. She sat down across from him. He looked up to see her. He smiled seeing her lost in thought.

"Vaise tum humare kapro mein bari cute lagri ho," he declared with his signature smirk.

She shook her head.

"When my clothes are dry you can have this back," she hissed.

He chuckled.

She was still cold. She wanted to sit closer to the fire but that would mean sitting closer to him.

He seemed to have read her mind. She could tell from his expression.

"I don't bite wifey," he commented.

She tentatively walked towards him. He smiled as she sat next to him and took in the fire. He wrapped an arm around her. She didn't realize when her head hit his shoulder.

She awakened with some commotion. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw the cheetah before her. Then he appeared beside her.

"Manyata utho. Hum hain na aapke saath," he assured her.

"Kuch karo Udayveer!," she stammered.

" Relax Manyata,"

He aimed his rifle at the cheetah.

Manyata winced as she tried to move back. Udayveer shot behind the cheetah to scare it away. He waited and watched. The cheetah ran away. Udayveer feared it would be back with its friends so he needed to get himself and Manyata back to the car. Help would arrive soon.

He turned around and was surprised to see his wife missing.

He put his hands on his hips and gazed around.

"Now where did she wander off to now?," he sighed.

He was shocked to see her up in the tree, n her way to the top. She clung to a branch.

"Kya kar rahi ho?," he asked.

"I needed to a safe place to think in case the cheetah ate you," she stated.

He rolled his eyes.

"Look Manyata the cheetah has gone for now. We should head back to the car before it come back," he stated firmly.

She nodded and started to climb down. He helped her down.

He gazed up at the tree and then down at her. He merely smiled.

His head of security met them at the roadside. They sat together in the car and proceeded towards Jaighar. It would be her first time there. There was to be ball in the evening. For now they had sometime to rest up. Manyata was amazed at the beauty of Jaighar.

"I will take you on a tour tomorrow night," he said huskily.

She smiled brightly.

"Just try not to fall in any ditches , climb up any trees or run away this time," he added..

"Aap bhi na!," she said with a nudge in his arm.

He chuckled as he held her close. They quietly entered the rajmahal. While Manyata took in her surroundings, her husband went to freshen up. He nudged her when he reentered their bedroom. She gasped and then quickly covered her mouth. He was shirtless.

"Manyata you have seen me without a shirt before," he quipped.

She tried to hide her embrassment with annoyance and tried to brush past him. He backed her into the wall. Suddenly she yelped.

"Manyata there is no need for jokes now. Hum aapke aapne hai. Don't be shy now," he stated

She shook her head.

" Nahin kuch laga hai mujhe," she muttered.

"Turn around let me see," he said firmly.

She turned slowly around.

He frowned when he noticed a hole in the back of the shirt she was wearing.

He peered at her backside and noticed she had a large splinter nearing her scar area.

"You have a splinter. I'll take it out but you have to remain still," he said warmly.

She nodded meekly and winced as he grabbed tweezers and pulled out the splinter.

She felt his lips on her skin. She blushed. He turned her around showed her the splinter.

"Tum jake fresh ho jao. Hum yaheen hai princess," he assured her.

She went towards the cupboard to grab a towel and clothes. He stopped her before she could enter the washroom.

"Yeh lo," he whispered.

Once inside the washroom she opened it and gazed at it. It was a sea green sari with sliver working. She smiled. She never admitted it aloud but his choice was usually very good.

She showered and dressed and stepped out into the room. She brushed her damp strands. She got up and tried tying her dori. He arrived just then merely smiled her efforts.

He thanked the stars when she blew another attempt of tying her dori. He approached her. His finger grazed her scar area. She swooned at his touch. He steadied her stance by grabbing her waist.

She turned red realizing he knew he affect her deeply.

" Let me help you before you hurt yourself more," he hissed.

He tied her dori. Her eyes met his in the mirror.

"You owe me a reward your highness," he whispered.

She whirled around and inquired,"What reward are you seeking Yuvraj Udayveer?"

He smirked as he cupped her chin.

"Ek kiss aur kya?"

She stared wide eyed at him. But then again he had been really sweet the past twenty-four hours. She didn't like it when he had the upper hand over her She leaned over and tried to kiss his cheek.

He pulled her closer and kissed her fully as their lips met. She returned the kiss. When they separated on the basis of needing air, she was the one that was shocked instead of him.

He grazed a finger along her face.

"Yuvraj Udayveer Singh always keeps the upper hand princess," he quipped.

She pouted as he turned around.

In anger she turned him around and initiated thee kiss this time.

He looked at her amused.

"But that doesn't mean Yuvrani Manyata will stop trying to win," she hissed.
