heth singh made a supposedly crude joke about women and their place and i didnt understand.
can someone explain please -- he said if lughai goes in baraat then she comes out a bride?
what does this mean?

i am confused too... someone said on forum to me that lughai mean wife.. but dadisa said that infront of shiv.. ki ghar ki lugayiya badmai khana khati hai.. so how he not suspect that anandi is married if lughai mean wife.. 😕

but it alos meant Gehna...lugai means wife. I don't think he knows Anandi is married. he thought Anandi to be the daughter. Before dadisa could correct him, Anandi had entered the scene

i think he said they come without the bride. I don't know the context of the joke, but I assumed it to mean failure in anything a woman is involved in...

lughai is a woman. not a wife necessarily. just a physically matured woman...
a girl is called chori.

I havent heard this phrase before but what i could understand is they are bad luck probably? So if they go for a marriage procession, the groom returns w/o the bride.
So ladies (i think married or otherwise..but women) if they go for a marriage, it is a bad omen, bad luck and they are not good basically.
That is what I understood from it.

I distinctly remember lugai is wife, a married woman it was one question in KBC...😛 or you can google..
Anandi has been refereed most of time as lugai...he didnt payed any heed...

Me too want to know what this phrase actually meant...
Wahtever it is but I didnt like how he was constantly underrating Anandi's role in gao's development...and Shiv was listening without a weird look to him...
