| Hrithik's dangerous stunts in Dhoom 2 | By IndiaFM News Bureau, July 20, 2006 - 05:51 IST
| The much talked about film Dhoom 2 is going to be bigger and better than its prequel Dhoom. Reportedly, Hrithik Roshan has done a number of dangerous stunts in the film. He underwent training in everything from roller-blading, sand boarding and bike stunts. He also took some time off to learn snow-boarding in Dubai but then the perfectionist Hrithik says that he didn't get enough time to practice before performing in front of camera. He wished he could have had more time to master it better. Hrithik has been shooting for these dangerous stunts for almost a week now, but says that he is having a great time doing it. Compared to Krrish, Hrithik says that the action in Dhoom 2 is far more daring and those are the kind of stunts that were never seen in Hindi films before.
Hrithik's character in Dhoom 2 can't exactly be called a Villain. It is rather a grey character. Currently, Hrithik is shooting for the climax of Dhoom 2 in Durban along with Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Uday Chopra. The film is scheduled to release this November.
| Shahrukh plays a junior artist of the late 70's in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om | By Gaurav Malani (IndiaFM News Bureau), July 21, 2006 - 01:38 IST
| To all those who were going overboard cooking their own stories on Farah Khan's 'Om Shanti Om' being a remake of Subhash Ghai's Karz, they can take a breather. The news is anything but true and just an outcome of ideal minds working overtime. The gossip shaped up from the fact that 'Om Shanti Om' happens to be a superhit track from Subhash Ghai's 1980 film Karz on which Rishi Kapoor shook his leg and had the nation crazy. And some uninformed reporter simply created a story out of it.
"There is no similarities between the two films whatsoever", confirms a trustworthy industry insider. "It's a complete new script". The only coincidental similarity between the two films is that both are based on the theme of reincarnation. But the resemblance ends there. The genres are completely different.
"Om Shanti Om starts showing Shahrukh Khan as a junior artist of the late 70's. His name is Om. Years later he is reborn and is named Om again", adds the source. Shahrukh Khan's blockbuster hit Karan Arjun also dealt with the theme of reincarnation. However 'Om Shanti Om' has no resemblance to that movie either.
And to set the record straight, 'Om Shanti Om' is a fresh project that Farah Khan is working on and is NOT the re-titled version of Farah's other film 'Happy New Year' that she was supposed to make with Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. For the time being 'Happy New Year' is kept on the backburner and currently Farah is concentrating only on 'Om Shanti Om'.
With the movie coming out in 2007, we just wish Farah that with 'Om Shanti Om' you have a 'Happy New Year'.

| With 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' dominating the top of the charts, musical trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are at it again. They prove their brilliance through the music that speaks loud about their talent. After 'Kal Ho Na Ho' which was the biggest musical hit of 2003, they succeed in coming out with another masterpiece for Dharma Productions with the music of KANK. The pick of the lot from the album, among all the other good tracks happens to be 'Mitwa'. This is one song that is being appreciated very well by the people and has made a place for itself in the hearts of many. When asked how did they feel that Shafqat Amanat Ali was the right choice for the song, Ehsaan Noorani says, "We were in Goa composing the track and we wanted an exotic voice for the song. Shankar once heard Shafqat Amanat Ali's song 'Ankhon Ke Sagar' on radio and was quite impressed with his voice. He immediately SMSed his friend and RJ Tarana for the singers name. We wanted to work with Shafqat since then for something really big and 'Mitwa' happened." Keep looking forward to the next from the music mechanics - Farhan Akhtar's 'Don' and Shaad Ali's 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom'.
