Govind Shankar and his men do some faltu ka drama and manage to get Arti out of the car in the middle of the deserted road and then abandon her there. She doesn't know where she is and walks aimlessly until she notices three goons following her and starts running. Suddenly she finds a taxi out of nowhere and jumps into it and asks the driver to go fast. She doesn't notice that the goons have disappeared and the driver talks in a fishy way like he's least bothered.
(Also, she gives her address as Subhash Nagar whereas Pooja's house was supposed to be in Idgah. CV-walon, thoda to attention pay karlo!)
The driver stops the car midway and says he has a gift for her from BBP - acid. He squirts it in a horrified Arti's face and she frantically throws up her hand - and is shocked to find that it isnt acid after all. The driver grins and says oops, he made a mistake and picked up a bottle of soda instead of acid. Arti runs out of the car, terrified and he yells after her that if she doesn't come to her senses, then next time he won't make the same mistake and even her parents won't be able to look at her face.
At Pooja's house Sumitra and Harivansh are shocked when Billu comes wandering back without Arti, saying that he can't find any rickshaw or taxi willing to take him to the police station. He says its like they have all been warned off. Harivansh decides to go check it out with Billu but even he has to admit defeat after some time and they return home. Billu has a brain wave as the Tiwaris stand around feeling worried about Arti, and says he'll call Krish and ask him to go to the police station and be with Arti.
Just then there's a ring at the door and Arti is standing there cool and calm. She doesn't mention anything to anybody, treats it like there's nothing wrong and doesn't breakdown until she reaches the safety of Pooja's room. She goes over to the bed, hugs Staring Pooja and cries silently. (Awww!)
The next morning BBP gets a visit from a laughing GS who is thrilled with last night's escapade. BBP says from now on he takes his orders from BBP and no one else in the house and GS agrees. He says Arti must have come to her senses by now and if not, a couple more incidents like last night's will fix her. 😡 BBP agrees and says he wants GS to find out more about the CBI officer assigned to the case. GS doesn't look too happy.
BBP is fixing tea while Rangoli sits tensely on the bed. BBP gives her a cup and asks her why she's so tense and he's fixed a cup especially for her with his own two hands. Rangoli is getting angrier and angrier as she listens to the TV and BBP switches it off and says its bad for peace of mind. Rangoli has had it and she goes into full psycho mode and throws the tea.
She says she doesn't understand why he called in the CBI and he was just defeated by an ordinary girl in front of everyone. BBP counters that he needed to call for the CBI before the opposition or the media or Arti herself asked for it. This way they have a possibility to fix the outcome in their favor. BBP says he has more tricks up his sleeve and they're going into action now. Rangoli isn't pacified and she's only left more frustrated by BBP's cool behavior.
(From the way she's behaving, I'm going to guess there's a guilty conscience at work here. She's the one who ordered the hit, I bet.)
Drunk CBI Dev arrives home to find his Kaka worried and his junior colleagues waiting for him. He greets them by throwing things at their head and hints that they're corrupt while he is not and he was betrayed by them at some point and that is why he drinks. 🤢 (Yeah, yeah, you're in pain. So are we all watching this show. Who cares?) The juniors hand him the file and scuttle.
The next morning he wakes up to Kaka's coffee and is about to throw the file when Kaka tells him to read it and so he does. He gets so engrossed in it, he doesn't notice that it's some kind of medical report printed on fake CBI letterhead 😆 (Is it something about tapeworms? I saw "intestines" mentioned) or the fact that his phone is ringing until Kaka hands it to him. It is his superior officer and Dev says he's reading the file and on his way to Bhopal.
Precap: Arti with Krish at the police station and GS is laughing at her. BBP calls her and threatens her again and she tells him to buzz off. He tells her to check what's going on at her house and she finds out goons are trashing the house. She and Krish run out and she bumps into Dev, making him drop his phone and they have a long eyelock.
Thank God tomorrow is Friday. I used to hate weekends once upon a time. Now I look forward to them.
