I think Jai didn't plan his death but after being shot he knows some wants to kill him so better spread the news in media that he's dead, so tht whoever is after him will stop for some time and Jai will get more time to protect himself from his supposed killer. As for the body, they can say its gone for post mortem so Jai can get a day or two that way. Meanwhile if Pushkar is with Jai (he brought Jai to hospital), and also with Bani, then Jai Bani reunion is also possible.
