The entire vampire council along with Chand and Haseena were already waiting at Raichand mansion for Abhay, Robin and Pia to arrive. As soon as they arrived, they got down to discuss how to deal with the problem at hand. They thought of convincing the werewolves about Maithili's plans and turn them against her, but the leader said that it won't help as werewolves will never trust us and besides Maithili has them under her hypnotism. They decided that they have no option but to fight with whoever come in their way and find and rescue Maya before Maithili can succeed in her evil plan. Abhay left Pia in care of Haseena as her health was further detiorating. Haseena said that her condition is not good and they might need to carry out a pre-mature delivery as soon as they find Maya and this further scared Abhay but at the same time made him more determined to find Maya at all costs.

They all left for Pandher Palace but found their way blocked by the werewolves. Not one, Not two, but around 100 werewolves were blocking their way. Even ordinary wolves have joined them in the fight and the total number stood at around 1000. And they were just 10 vampires. But they just could not back off. If Maithili succeeds in her plans, then they were as good as dead anyway. So they decided to fight with all their might. The fight began and went on for whole night. While there were injuries on both sides, none of the vampires was killed though each one of them had managed to kill 5 werewolves each thus reducing their number to half. Seeing the ferocity of the vampires, the ordinary wolves have decided to save themselves and left the fight. The day had risen and both werewolves and vampires were forced to retreat to their homes for the time being as fighting during day time was too risky for them as it would have aroused unnecessary human curiosity. The werewolves started gathering the slayed werewolves bodies, but the vampires managed to steal a few of them. They needed the werewolves' blood to heal themselves to get ready for the fight in the night.

The vampires returned back to the Raichand Mansion and Abhay rushed to Pia's side only to feel his dead heart breaking in hundreds of pieces seeing her condition. The colour was draining out of Pia's body and her BP was alternating between too high and too low. Even Haseena was feeling helpless about what to do. Abhay asked her why Pia is like this to which Haseena replied: Abhay she is under too much mental and emotional stress, not to mention the physical stress she had to endure recently. Coming to think of it, her entire pregnancy had been too stressful for her right from the beginning. Be it her initial shock of not remembering anything to the lies of Dobriyals' lies to her own heart's refusal to give up on you and then those slayers' attempts to kill her. Your return did bring some normalcy to her life, but all this Maithili business has once again thrown her under too mush stress. Be it the fear of losing her child or you or the tension about whether or not all these problems will be solved on time or not to all the running and chasing that she has been doing for the last few days not even caring to take her meals on time. All this is finally taking toll on her health.

Abhay: But there has to be a way to get her alright mom.

Haseena: Abhay, right now we need to get the baby out of her as soon as possible. Only then we can focus on treating Pia. Being a supernatural, the baby is trying to protect itself and to some extent Pia too from inside, but our efforts to help Pia is making the baby only more defensive and so a lot of contradictions are happening. Once the baby is out of her safely, we can easily make Pia better. That's why it is imperative that we find Maya soon.

Abhay: I will mom. I will find Maya soon. I won't let anything happen to my Pia.

Back in the hall the vampires were planning how to reach Pandher palace as the werewolves were sure to call in reinforcements too. They decided to give a cover to Abhay so that he could manage to reach Pandher Palace while they all will fight off the werewolves. By night, all the vampires were healed up and so they left for Pandher Palace again. The fight began again. This time the vampires managed to overpower the werewolves easily as there reinforcements had not reached yet. The werewolves retreated to save their lives and by early morning Abhay and Robin entered the Pandher Palace, but there was no one there. Robin concentrated hard but he could not find Maya. However, werewolf smell kept hitting their noses. In end, Robin exclaimed: I can't find her. She is being guarded by the werewolves. So I can't reach her smell.

Abhay: Then let's search for those damn werewolves.

They began searching the entire Pandher Palace. Other vampires also joined them in their search before noon, but it seemed that Maithili has very carefully made the werewolves ram through each and every corner of the palace to make the vampires keep running in the circle. After a few hours of futile search efforts they all were gathered in the old hall of the Pandher Palace without any clue as to where to find Maithili and Maya. The evening was already coming to a close and soon it would be time when the supposed ritual was to start. They were wondering what to do when a sharp feminine scream shocked them. But before anyone else could react, it was Robin whose nostrils flickered and he could not stop himself and rushed to the direction of the scream. It took only a nano-fraction of a second for other vampires to guess as to where Robin could have rushed off to and so they all followed him.

But their way was blocked by werewolves. They could see that Maithili had already slashed Maya's wrist and her blood was dripping in a vessel which was bubbling up. Maya was fast losing consciousness. Abhay could not let Maya die. He had to save her at all costs. He tried to reason with the werewolves that Maithili is not their friend, but their foe and he will soon be sacrificing one of them too for her evil plans, but the werewolves refused to believe him and a fight was going on. Robin was finding it difficult to concentrate on anything with Maya's blood awakening the beast inside him. He badly wanted to reach there and drink all that falling blood. Abhay saw Maya falling to the floor almost unconscious with life escaping out of her body fast and his worst fear was coming true. As a last measure he finished off three werewolves in one go to reach Maya but just then Maithili grabbed hold of a werewolf and with one swift blow of a sharp sword cut of his head and poured his blood in the vessel. There was a loud explosion and Siddhartha's body started taking shape leaving everyone thunder struck. The werewolves realized that Abhay was right and so they let the vampires pass. Robin rushed to reach Maya but was stopped by Chand. Abhay managed to reach her and took her in her arms and Maya urged him in a trembling voice,"Abhay, take me to Pia! Now!"

Robin was trying hard to reach Maya. He badly wanted her blood so the other vampires asked Abhayt o take her away fast. Maithili was least perturbed and was laughing evilly and saying, "Take her wherever you want Abhay! Does not matter to me anymore! She won't be able to save your precious Pia or your spawn. And even if she does manage to do that, I still don't care. Within a few minutes Siddhartha will be back and I will become truly invincible and then we will together finish all of you. Noone will be able to touch me anymore. I have completed the steps of the ritual, now it's just a matter of few minutes. Ha Ha Ha. You can have these few minutes of life if you want Abhay. I can be generous to you for old time's sake. So don't waste my time and take this girl away. She has served her purpose."

Abhay took Maya in his arms and rushed to his house. He did not have time to think about Siddhartha and the coming danger. His only thought was to somehow save Pia and their baby at least for now. Maya was fast losing her breath but she kept urging him to take her to Pia. Abhay was touched at her selflessness and felt a tinge of guilt for being so selfish, but he really had no other option at the moment. He reached his home and took Maya directly to Pia's room. Maya asked Haseena to prepare for Pia's delivery immediately. Haseena was already ready with all the equipment. Maya held Pia's hand in one hand and placed her other hand on Pia's belly and started chanting some chants. Soon Pia's body started convulsing in contractions and Haseena guided her towards delivering her and Abhay's little bundle of joy safely. But Pia was too weak and had lost lots of blood. She was unconscious which scared both Abhay and Haseena. They looked at Maya who was still chanting some chants and with each chant her body was becoming paler. They could not understand what Maya was doing. They looked at Pia and to their surprise they saw that Pia had completely healed and colour was returning to her.

Maya continued to chant her chants and then suddenly she stopped. At the same instant Pia opened her eyes with an almost violent speed and got up all alert to sit straight. Abhay and Pia were shocked at this. Maya let go of Pia's hand and exclaimed, "Finally!"

It was then that the thought of Siddhartha returned back to Abhay and he said, "But we are too late. Siddhartha is back now making Maithili invincible."

When Haseena and Pia gave him a shocked expression, Abhay continued to explain," Maithili had already completed the steps for the ritual"

"You are wrong Abhay. The ritual has now failed!" were Maya's last words before she breathed her last and died still holding Pia's hands. Pia was shocked seeing her friend dying like this. But more than shocked she was furious. She was feeling a strange fury inside her and she herself could not explain it. She just wanted to badly get out from this place and kill that Maithili right at this instant. But she could not place why she was suddenly so furious at her. She has suffered much worse at Maithili's hands, then what has happened now that she wants to finish her off so badly especially when right now her Abhay is standing at the door completely safe and her son is playing in Haseena's arms lovingly. She wanted to hold her son in her hands and kiss him, but the urge to kill Maithili was even stronger and Pia could not understand why was that!

Meanwhile in Pandher Palace, the vampires and werewolves saw with shock, Sid rising from the fire in the vessel like a phoenix looking stronger than ever and with evilness written clearly in all his features. The werewolves were feeling betrayed and wanted to kill Maithili then and there, but knew that now she is invincible. There was nothing they could do now than to watch with horror, their death emerging out from that vessel. They saw how first Sid's face emerged from the fire then slowly his rest of the body started taking shape from neck down to his torso, to his legs. And then there suddenly was an explosion and everyone was blinded for a few moments. When they gained visibility again, there was only smoke there and Siddhartha was nowhere to be seen. Everyone was confused and scared as to what just happened and where Siddhartha disappeared, but then they saw Maithili and she was equally shocked and was calling out, "Siddharha! Siddhartha! Where have you disappeared? Don't play games!"

But there was no response. Maithili was suddenly scared. She was surrounded by enemies from all angles and Siddhartha had suddenly disappeared rather than help her finish off her enemies. The only reason that the vampires and werewolves had not attacked her by now was because they were themselves confused about what just happened.

Soon the smoke from the vessel got subsided and they could peep in the vessel which had two separate small vessels on the top from which the blood was pouring inside the main vessel bottom. While one small vessel clearly smelled like the blood of a werewolf, everyone including Maithili were confused and shocked to smell the blood in the other vessel. Maithili without wasting another fraction of second disappeared from there using her combined Wiccan and vampiric powers. Everyone now knew that ritual had failed, but how was the question.
