Heyy guys!! omg! thanks for liking it!🤗
looove u guysss!!
So, since im continuing, let me tell you guys a little more about this SS. it's not the conventional kind where i tell a looong story, its more of a personal kind where i will be focusing on the emotions of each character at each point..basically, i am horrible at dialogues and im afraid they'll be out of character so...I wil try to express to the fullest of my ability what each character (of the four: virat, Manvi, Jeevika and Viren) is feeling throughout the entire situation. so...if you like fast-moving stories..im sorry :(
anyway, this is my second part! hope i can live up to ur expectations!! :D
As Manvi's eyes closed, Virat's heart skipped a beat. He froze, a cold fist clenching his heart. Manvi's limp head rested on his hand as he knelt down in front of her. Virat looked at Manvi numbly, not knowing what to do. This wasn't like the previous times. In the past, his feelings were different. He hadn't known. Today, his fear of losing her was so great, it had him paralysed. Guess that's what love did to people. "Manvi?" Virat whispers numbly. Around him, everyone goes silent.
Slowly, Virat moves towards her. Gently, he places her head carefully on his lap, pushing hair away from her eyes. His mind goes to the last 2 times Manvi had fainted in front of him. He had been afraid then, too. But not as much as today. Today, he was petrified. He called her name again, shaking her shoulders. She didn't move. She didn't even stir. Manvi had always woken up after some time. Why wasn't she waking up this time? What had gone wrong?
"Manvi?" he calls, louder, shaking her a little harder.
"Manvi?!" Jeevika's cry pierces the silent air. Virat whips around. Jeevika runs towards Manvi, sobbing. Her eyes are already pouring. She falls to her knees with a thud beside her. She reaches to hold Manvi's limp body, and envelopes her, lifting her off Virat.
"Mannu? Mannu, uth na!" Jeevika sobs, burying her face in her hair. Virat watches, not knowing what to do. He had never felt to lost and helpless before. Just watching Manvi lay there so quietly hurt him in so many ways. The noisy, jovial, bak-bak karne waali partner was the one he had known and grown to love. Watching her like this broke his heart into a million pieces, the pain more intense than he could ever describe. His mind returns to the times he spent with Manvi. The little fights they used to have, before this disease had ruined everything.
"YEHI KI MUJHE CANCER HAI!" that's how she had told him. Or that's how he made her say it. He hadn't known how to show it then. He had just been so...so shocked. And angry. Not at Manvi, but at himself. How could he have ever doubted her intentions? He had claimed to love her, yet he had failed to understand her. He had hurt her, insulted her and almost deserted her when she needed him the most. Although Manvi had forgiven him for it, he hadn't gotten around to that yet. Every day when he looked at her, he thought back to that day and regret would gnaw at him. A part of him would say, mockingly, you love her?
That's when another thought hits him. He hasn't told her yet. He hasn't told Manvi what she meant to him. He hadn't told her how much he cared for her, loved her. He had been meaning to today. At the end of the party, he was about to surprise her. He had even prepared a song for her. Just for her. This...this wasn't supposed to happen.
His mind went back, replaying the last 5 minutes, before she had collapsed. He had been singing, just minutes away from saying the 3 words. Every word of the song was coming straight from his heart. Every word meant something to him and Manvi. It represented their journey, their relationship and, as he sang the song, each moment was replayed in his head, like it was just yesterday...
Tu hi meri hai saari zameen
Chaahe kahin se chaloon
Tujhpe hi aake rukoon
Tere siwa main jaoon kahaan
Koi bhi raah chunoon
Tujhpe hi aake rukoon
His mind went back to all those times he would go to Manvi, just to annoy her, to get her attention. The first time she had come to their house, he knew there was something special about her. He just didn't know what. All day, he would think about her and spend his time irritating her, making her angry. It was fun, in a way. The way she would react, the words she would say. He liked spending time with her, even if it was in an unusual way. Everything in his life became connected to her after that. His jokes, his laughter, his anger, everything.
Tum mile toh lamhe tham gaye
Tum mile toh saare gam gaye
Tum mile toh muskurana aa gaya
Tum mile toh jaadu cha gaya
Tum mile toh jeena aa gaya
Tum mile toh maine paaya hai khuda
It was true, every word. Since Manvi had entered his life, everything had changed. The angry young man his family knew him to be disappeared somewhere. Ever since Maya had come and gone, something had always been missing. A part of him had been had been lost. When Manvi came he learnt more from her than he had from anyone else. She HAD taught him to smile through the tears, to forget what was lost and move on, to live life to the fullest like she did. Even sadness had to turn away when Manvi was around, she was far to jovial for that.
Din mere tujhse chalein
Raatein bhi tujhse dhalein
Hai waqt tere haath mein
Tu hi shehar hai mera
Tujhme hi ghar hai mera
Rehta hai tere saath mein...
Every night, without fail his mind would go to her. He remembered those smses they used to send each other, in the morning, in the night, in the afternoons, in the evening. Each morning would begin with her quote of the day, and end with her good night wish. It had become a part of him, those messages. Something he had begun to rely on, need. He remembered how the house felt without her, empty, boring. He had always needed his partner. Even when he was surrounded by everyone, all he felt was loneliness. Her absence would prick him, tear at him, threatening to swallow him whole. Where every he was, his mind, heart and soul were always with Manvi, wondering where she was, if she was okay and when he would see her again. When she had returned, he had felt bliss, pure, undiluted joy. Better than he had ever felt in his life.
Tum...
He stopped, his eyes watched Manvi from the stage, this song was for her, afterall. She had been moving to the beat, dancing like she always did. But suddenly, something was wrong. She was still moving, but nothing was rhythmic about it. It was more like she was trying to keep herself balanced. Virat had seen Manvi do this. She only did it...when...
He dropped his guitar on the floor and raced towards Manvi. "Manvi!" he yelled. The crowd also stopped dancing. Everyone watched Virat, shocked. He tore through the crowd, towards her. She was all he could see. Manvi's small frame staggered. Her right hand was on her head and her left was reaching out, trying to grab something to keep her balanced. There was nothing around her, just air. Virat's hand shot out, wanting desperately to hold her. But he was too far. Too far. Seconds later, Manvi's knees buckled. "MANVI!" Virat yelled. He ran faster, cursing his legs. He always thought he was a good athlete, but today, he felt like the slowest runner in the world. The girl he loved the most needed him, and he wasn't able to run fast enough to get to her? What kind of an athlete was like that? It was amazing how far a few metres would begin to feel when someone you loved was in trouble. Virat arrived at the last second, just before Manvi's head hit the ground. He supported her, just like he always had, her head millimetres from the ground.
