Boom in real estate, HOW LONG?

This is the century where one cant believe the prices of land and buildings are going above the sky limit. A sq feet which used to cost Rs. 500 is now costing Rs. 3500 within a span of 2 to 3 years. Is there a negative impact very soon for such a rise? Discuss

From what I've been reading lately in the news, a lot of analysts are saying that there is a Real Estate Bubble. A lot of people are investing in real estate and making the prices go up. Eventually, its going to crash - how soon this will happen, I'm not sure.

This NDTV analyst says that the realty bubble wont burst anytime soon as there is a lot of foreign investment coming in.

I've seen this happen recently. Builders and Real Estate companies started building houses like pancakes due to demand and prices soared. A house which costed only $250,000 now costs $500,000. Then homeowners saw a money-making opportunity and started to put their houses on sale. Usually, at same time 1-2 years ago, that house would have been sold in 2 weeks. Now, it takes about 2-3 months. It has become out of control because builders developed housing in such a huge scale and with homeowners selling, there has been an expansive surplus. Today, I can safely say that real estate in my city is currently experience a dry and dying phase. Very few people are buying and those who are selling are bitter coz they can't sell their house at the price they want...

So certainly, there is a huge negative impact on a sudden rise. It's the law of economics, in some cities, demand may be greater, so the prices are sky-rocketing. But as soon as people and companies catch-on and increase the supply, demand will die away and we'll see a crash...
