What was the point of Sanchi's betrayal?

After reading the news that Indu and Sanchi will indeed get married, I am left wondering what was the point of showing their wedding breaking up twice?😕

In anycase, Indu Singh was marrying Sanchi by force...in the sense that he had left no option for her and instead of using brutal strength, he had struck a deal with her, a deal in which she had no option.
And now, the creatives are going to show that Indu will marry her on gunpoint?
Why are the creatives unnecessarily butchering Indu's character, when they have already killed off Sanchi as a character too? Atleast, till yesterday, Indu had a higher moral ground...but after marrying her forcibly, he won't have any justification.

I hear ya! Either get married or move on with the plot. I agree marrying at gunpoint, what's the use of it. But on the other hand, it is very much in character for Indu. For him, brutal force is the answer. I guess Sanchi will reform him after the wedding. Indian shows are very symbolic, so here is what I saw:
Indu's name on Sanchi's hand, the pre wedding rituals. Shaadi toh honi hai, chahe aise yah vaise!

I hated Sanchi in yesterdays episode! And I am not one of those viewers who think that the hero should get the heroine at any cost. When Sanchi had decieved Indu for the first time, I totally supported her. But yesteday, she sunk to a new low by not just using Indu, but decieving him and also putting him in jail for something he hadn't done.
How can a viewer root for a character who has lost moral ground? Even if whatever she is doing has a justification in her view? If Sanchi had decieved Indu to just break free of the marriage, then it would have been understandable. But she used him to get the property papers, by promising him that she will marry when she is handed over the papers. And then she not only cheated him on the promise, but put him in jail too.
Though I am completely against this forced marriage thing, I think, even Sanchi needs to learn a lesson in morality or two and no one better than her nemisis teaching her one this time.

I've recently started watching the show. I agree with you about sanchi's betrayal. Did feel sorry for Indu Singh. It was obvious that something was cooking in her mind when she showed no emotion about her mother who was on her deathbed after an attempted suicide. That's how felt anyway

Well that's why I like this show... They both seem equally headstrong about getting whatever they wanna...indu has no problem using all the wrong tricks in the book and now Sanchi is slowly joining him too! I.e. sanchi's love has turned indu for the better and indu's company has twisted sanchi for the worse... So they are a more balanced jodi now (wink)

Hi Soapie,
your question about why their wedding breaking up twice and then getting married at gunpoint (is this even confirmed now?!)...is because CVs love drama!
But more importantly, they want to get the strong hero back, mainly an indu Singh that is not so lovelorn. After Sanchi's betrayal (real and percieved) he will now hate her (or so he thinks). They will get married, he will be angry with her and maybe even treat her bad/rough - for starters because she has used his love for her. But another things is Malti Devi, upto now had no issues with Sanchi will certainly hate her as well, so we will have the usual saas-bahu crap to tolerate on top of all. I can almost see Indu lolling around the house, watching Sanchi being worked to death by his mother !!
If she had married him now, he would have let her continue with her career or whatever she had wanted to do. As it is I'm betting the farm once after the forced marriage he will tell her to burn her certificates!!
Yeah, for someone so proud of her morals and worth, she really sunk low by not dealing with him with honesty. In fact, Indu now has the moral high ground. He actually kept to his word, he is the innocent here now and she is making him go through hell.
