purab vs. armaan 1 last time

hey....

just a little pondering....i know that purab is no longer a part of the show but please humour me on this one.....

if armaan and purab were real and if what had happened to jassi had
happened to us....do you really think your parents would allow you to go ahead and marry either of them? granted that purab would probably stand a better chance than armaan but at the same time would any parent really take the risk of yet another broken engagment? think about it...

purab - mr nice guy - left jassi the day of their engagment (ok so he knew jassi didn't love him but bare with me). the shame felt by her parents would have been unbearable...after all this would be as bad as the groom not turning up for a wedding. and yet still billu and the rest of the family forgave him even though people said awful things about jassi and the match and allowed him back into jassi's life.....again. granted that his first walk out was down to misunderstnding over gulmohur but still, wouldn't your parents be wary?

then there is armaan - who let jassi down on all occasions, was the
reason why she ran away to alibagh and mauritius, embarrassed her
publicly and mistrusted her without reason (armaan fans cannot call this a lie)- and yet...here we are back on the brink of jassi and armaan getting together (yet again - so close and yet so far) even though bebe and amrit know exactly what he has done and how heartless he has been. the family has been subjected to various degrading situations and still they come back for more punishment.

would your parents stand back and allow such things to happen? if i
were jassi and went back to armaan after all that has happened, my
father would probably disown me and i wouldn't blame him. granted that some things are not down to armaan but down to his family...so does that mean that billu thinks its ok to pack his daughter off to a place where no one but armaan and maybe puru would be civil to her?

i know that this is just a soap and that it shouldn't be taken
seriously but the character of jassi has graced india's national stamp and surely that stands as testament that she is a role model for the people. but if this is the case then why is such rubbish still on tv - jassi (in her new image) a role model? get outta here!
