Rajasthan Minister blasts at Aamir's Satyamev Jayate

Aamir Khan's TV show 'Satyamev Jayate' has been receiving applauds nationwide for exposing the female foeticide racket in Rajasthan, but the episode has not been well received by Rajasthan Minister Rajkumar Sharma.

Minister of State for Health, Rajkumar Sharma lashed out against Aamir Khan saying that the actor is just greedy for money and the Rajasthan government was already working on the issue of female foeticide before the actor's campaign.

He told the press, "There was an impression that the government has swung into action after Aamir Khan's campaign but to clarify, I would like to highlight that the government is already working for the same. Budget announcements to check foeticide are there and several other steps are being taken. The government took up the issue much before Aamir Khan's programme. It is not because of him that the government is working against female foeticide."

Sharma further added, "He (Aamir) himself has said that he is an entertainer and cannot work longer on one topic, that simply means what he is doing is for monetary gains. If he really wants to work on this issue then I welcome him to work here on ground."

Interestingly, Rajasthan's Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot praised Aamir's effort for spreading awareness through his TV show.

If Amir was doing this show to really bring out a change, then he would be doing more than just spend an hour a week discussing it. If he was really so concerned why is he doing movies like Dhoom 3 which do nothing but 2 hours of entertainment.
I am a nurse but that doesn't mean that I should only take care of my patient, I do other stuffs too...I don't buy only scrubs😆..he has full rights to do what ever he wants
So he will spend 2 years of his life shooting 2 hours of an entertainment film but will only spend 1 hour per week discussing social evils and shedding fake tears over it?
Just tune into news channels. On every channel there is some debate and discussion going on about how to make this country a better place, but his fans are making it look like his show is the first to do something like this.
I agree on this...sm of his fans are so stupid..they r like he is GOD..sm were discussing about electing him as a prime minister or smth🤣 few days ago
And he is bringing awareness? Will that help eradicate these evils??? I dont think so. Almost every Indian knows people kill female foetuses because they want male heirs. Almost every Indian knows of child sex abuse. HECK, most of us were victims of that as kids. So what will he do with awa reness? Nothing. If he can do something he should do something to eradicate it. And u cannot eradicate something by sitting and discussing it on a weekend show on a TV channel.
atleast he is doing smth..not many of us do...and smth is better than nothing.
amir wants to say this through this show "Look no other star cares about the country but I do because I am gr8!" Enough of this fake publicity stunt to enhance his image.

if Aamir is so concerned about the burning issues, then why doesn' t he do this show for free?

if rumors are true, he is the highest paid on TV with Rs 3 crores.
