PART 16

Arnav got ready for the evening. He couldn't wait to be with his Khushi. Without her he felt so lifeless. She completed him in every sense.

He messaged her

He took a shower and got into the White Kurta.He kept the stubble since he would shave tomorrow. He folded his sleeves till the elbows and wore Punajbi Jutti to complete his look.

He reached a bit late due to traffic. But his hair was still wet and he looked devastatingly handsome. And sangeet was already in full swing. Some people were dancing to the popular bollywood numbers. He created quite a furor as he entered. Every Raizada member was shocked to see him dressed in Indian wear. He looked nothing short of a dreamy romantic guy. His sister and Nani rushed to him to compliment him. But he was more interested in finding Khushi.

And there sat his Khushi amidst Gupta family and some other ladies. Looking like a coy bride, blushing and feeling shy at their compliments. She was wearing Light pink Lehnga with silver work on it. She was wearing very minimal make up but that didn't affect her beauty. He rosy cheeks and lips completed her look of a happy bride. She looked like an Indian princess of the era gone. He went straight to her. He wanted to be alone with her, touch her, smell her, kiss her and so many other things his mind was imagining right there. But he knew he wont get that opportunity tonight. He would be lucky if he gets some time with her without being monopolized by their respective families.

He moved towards her .She looked up to him and smiled. For a moment he felt his heart would stop just by looking at her. He smiled and put his right hand forward. She got up and put her hand and he moved towards the 2-seater sofa in the corner. Thats all privacy he could hope for tonight. The ladies knew better not to stop him and let him have his way.

You look so beautiful ,Khushi.He whispered in her ears even though nobody could hear them. She blushed. Her cheeks became deep pink.

And I wish we were alone right now, he said huskily. She blushed even more.

You are happy, Khushi?he asked her.

Yes. Its like a fairy tale wedding. Very Beautiful.T he way I always wanted. She said softly.

For a moment they were quiet. He had so many things to tell her but neither it was the right moment nor place .But even in silence their eyes talked a million things. though he missed her constant blabbering at times but this was also good.

Suddenly "TERI Meri prem kahani "started playing. And before he could respond, Nk came to him.

Naanav, why don't you and Khushi dance on this song ?he asked with a big stupid smile on his face.

Arnav glared at him. The song brought so many memories .The way they had danced. The passion,the intensity was just too much that he had to control himself not to go overboard. But tonight he didn't want this song. He didn't want it to affect Khushi. Atleast not before he was forgiven by her. He got up and went straight to the DJ. The music stopped. He so wanted to punch NK but resisted .He didn't want to spoil the mood of sangeet. People stopped dancing and for some time it felt like party was over. But then music was back. And in a moment they saw Arnav dancing impromptu to this number.

The last time he had danced was with Khushi and this time he was dancing for her only. There was a loud gasp from his family. But tonight he didn't care what everybody thought of him. He wanted to make her happy.

After some time he motioned Khushi to join him and she did. Raizada and Gupta family also joined.

When everybody was busy dancing he took khushi quietly to the poolside. Hoping that nobody would notice them missing from their own sangeet.

I love you Khushi, he said the moment they were alone. He had said this so many times but he felt like telling her every time as it to make up for the lost time.

He cupped her face and kissed her forehead. She had this amazing thing about her. He felt deep passion for her and yet at the same time felt like protecting her from himself. He had hurt her too much. And he had promised to protect her from pain and hurt.

You don't know how happy I am today.I am so lucky to have you in my life. He said sincerely.

Arnav ,I want to show you something. See, my mehendi and your name is also written,s he said sounding very excited showed her hands.

No, I don't want to see. Its bad omen ,he said. He remembered the last time she had A on her palm and he had seen it. They got married but it was marriage full of hatred and pain. He didn't want to repeat it this time.

Khushi looked a bit upset. Arnav wanted to make upto her. He wanted to kiss her to make her forget all this.

We will have all the time tomorrow night to find it. So don't worry ,Pyar. I will find it,ok, he said softly.

And before he could bend down and kiss her lips their moment was broken by his Di ,who was calling them.

It was not the first time it had happened. But he hoped in future that his Di wont disturb them.

She found them standing near the poolside.

That's enough Chottey,now leave her and go back. You are behaving like a teenager. She said jokingly.

Di.Thats all he could say.

She took Khushi's hand and started taking her downstairs.

And there he stood still thinking about the kiss he almost missed. Just 1 more day Arnav and then nobody can take her from you, he consoled himself. She will be all yours.

Thinking that he went downstairs. Had dinner and was about to leave when Di called him.

You have to be here at 9 am,she ordered him. Its your haldi ceremony. But you won't get to even see Khushi. Her haldi ceremony is going to be after you.

Arnav couldn't believe his luck .He would definitely try to sneak in and meet her.

And he went back with a big smile on his face.
