Abhishek and Vishal as usual were having a passionate discussion. They could discuss even the mundane topic for hours. They are not second cousins but the best of friends. Different personalities and hence they were attract each other like the north and south pole of the magnet.
Abhiskhek Ahem Modi is twenty five years old. He is a beautiful combination of his parents. The physic of his father, a chiseled body, six pack abs, the soft features of his mother, a heartwarming smile that reaches his eyes. He is soft spoken, very logical, takes his time to make decisions. He believes that there is no other couple in the world who are like his parents. He grew up watching their dedication to each other. Abhishek had first had experience of how a man should treat his woman. Young Abhishek had witnessed many a times how Ahem would consult Gopi on important business issues. Gopi had a nag for being the devil's advocate and given a different perspective to think about before accepting or rejecting a business deal. Gopi was Ahem's equal in everything. Ahem wanted Gopi to join the board of directors of the Modi industries. After much consideration Gopi had denied as she wanted to concentrate on her home and her kids. It was during late teens that Abhishek found out that his parents had a very rocky start to their marriage. His Kokila Baa told him how his mother had worked hard to gain his father's trust, then friendship and finally love. His love and respect for his mother increased a thousand folds that day and he came to understand that whatever his father was, was due to his mother's perseverance.
Vishal Jigar Modi, twenty one years old, an exact replica of his dad in looks. He was the baby of the family. He was passionate and emotional and would fight tooth and nail to put accross what he believes in.
Today the argument was very close to both their hearts.
"Bhai please do not get personal about this. I know Kaki is your mother, but she is nothing in comparison to Mrs Ahuja? Do you know the achievements Mrs Ahuja. She is a PHD in Phycology. She is a full time lecturer and runs an NGO for underprivileged children. I have been to her home and seen how she looks after her home and her two teen age children. Now Bhai I call this lady a super woman, she is well balanced, runs her home successfully, has a career and runs does so much for the society."
"Vishal, just because my mom does not run an NGO does not mean she does nothing for the society. Are you not aware that she teaches cooking and stitching three times a week at the government school? The girls adore her and whatever remuneration she gets she gives it as a reward to the most deserving student for the month. She uses innovative ideas to keep the girls motivated and face the challenges of life. I am sure if my mom decided to run an NGO she would be the best at her job. Just because she does not go to office like your Mrs Ahuja, my mom is the back bone behind the Modi industries. Her contribution to the family and society cannot be compared to anyone what so ever". Abhishek rarely lost his temper but when someone undermined his mom, he could never control his temper.
Vishal realized that he had taken his praise for Mrs Ahuja a bit too far, when he compared her to Gopi Kaki. But Mrs Ahuja was special. He was exited that the family would finally meet the woman her adored at his graduation next week.
