After all it is now their PAVITRA RISHTA 👏 what say ppl???? At the end all i have to say is LUV u ARVI u guys r the best couple jodi everrr on indian dramas... Muuuzzzhhh 😛

how can arvi are the best jodi ever on indian drama when even this problem they having now..they didn't support each other? Arjun is too weak by accepting the engagement..and purvi seems not trusting arjun and didn't even want to listen any single explanation from arjun.
I think you didn't watch other serials such as Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli..the couple Abha and Karan..that's the best jodi i ever seen. support each other and trust their love.
When ArVi are stand together fight for their love..then we can say they are one of the best jodi.

It really bugs me. 😒 What do u guys think?

I think u r taking it wrong...she was more concerned about how Archu n Sulochana wil react if they get to know about her relationship wid Arjun...she was an orphan n Archana n Sulochana raised her with all their love n care, she feels she is indebted to them for all they did for her n that is why she is more concerned about them...n after them she has Arjun😳
n anyway, why would anybody stop caring for their parents if they get their true love...parents should always cum first!!!
n any girl facing such circumstances wil first think about her family n their reputation first n then about her love (n that is wat Arjun did too by getting engaged to Ovi, as he too was concerned about DK n Manav's reputation)

Love is not quantifiable... however it can be measured in terms of its depth and intensity.

Arjun was the one who first realized what Purvi is to him. The pull, the force, magnitude made his comfort zone suffocating when his heart yearned for the one who had left an impression that was to last a lifetime. It was not until Purvi pushed him away did he really put a finger to his emotions... its then that he realized he was in love with her... and he did what needed to be done... he stepped forward to possess her.

Purvi however, had no such liberty. Her mind had been clogged by influences around her.

1. To reunite her aai-baba
2. Broken relation with vinay
3. Her aaji's strong reaction over the MMS fiasco

All her life, she has wished for reuniting her aai-baba. She is aware of the fact that she's an adopted child. so she always very conscious... She loves Archana, no doubt. But i see there is this desire to do something for the woman who gave her so much love. "Mujh jaisi anath ko itna pyar diya" have't we heard this line more than once? So the constant pressure is deep built inside her of not letting her aai down ever. Now in that scenario she always have too much to carry on her shoulders.

When Arjun confessed, everything came to fore and she jumped back in her shell... denied vehemently which her heart knew was only true... but then Arjun left and she knew what she had turned away from. And so momentarily she turned away from everything that bounded her and ran to stop him. There we saw a girl who had left all the burdens of life behind to embrace happiness that welcomed her. And so when the next day they went to thank God... she said this time... for the first time in her life she asked something for herself... the only time she placed herself ahead of her family! But the protective shell she had rested in for 18 long yrs can't be shed in a day right?

Then came the engagement... the only thing she asked for herself... her love was claimed by her sister in front of everyone.

Had it been someone else, she would have been difficult but might have relented giving Arjun a chance to speak but here it was her sister, daughter of her aai... the facts laid in front portrayed Arjun in a wrong light. Her practical mind didn't take long to access the cost her sister, her aai and her family would pay. The dream that she had nurtured of seeing her aai-baba together, the cost that dream would pay! And she was shook! It became a question of hurting one you considered your own kin! And that was unacceptable to everything that made Purvi what she was.

And when did she get time to loose her inhibitions, her guarded self with Arjun completely?? It was like a drizzle that was consumed instantly by the parched earth... but before it could be turned to a blissful monsoon that would have blossomed the earth, it was like over as far as she could see.

She felt betrayed, hurt and wounded with the engagement scenario. And the fact that her Aai hid that Teju was her daughter too left an unpleasant scenario. She can't go and tell her aai wat has really shook her existence instead she only complained why was she left in dark. The magnitude of her pain is deeper than what meets the eye. For only a portion is visible on the surface... there is a storm that's hidden in her depth... the storm that she is refusing to confide about. So isn't it obvious that her deep-rooted pain comes from the centre of her heart and not just that Archana didn't confide in her. She's using that to hide the bigger pain that is consuming her, seeking comfort that only one person can offer yet she cant turn to him. The pain in her eyes yesterday spoke just that when "Arjun" once again became "Arjun Sir"

I don't blame Arjun either. Suppose he would have stood right in front of everyone and denied to get engaged to Ovi coz he was in love with Purvi... I really don't think Purvi would have cut him a slack then... for that would have brought embarrassment and pain to her family... And i don't think Purvi would forgive anyone who would bring tears in her aai's eyes.

And now she can't think of defying her sister's love to claim Arjun for herself. Her reactions and her actions are mellowed, the way she's trained to... the way she has seen her aai doing it for years... i don't really think that we can blame her or hold anything against her.

Dear Sonia,

Thank you for sharing this extremely sensitive and perceptive post with us. Your analysis of the mental and emotional straight jacket that imprisons Purvi is remarkably accurate. It helps me understand the 'why'of what I have always felt, that Purvi does not love Arjun as he loves her.

I particularly admired the depth of understanding of matters of the heart that you display when you say:

And when did she get time to lose her inhibitions, her guarded self with Arjun completely?? It was like a drizzle that was consumed instantly by the parched earth... but before it could be turned to a blissful monsoon that would have blossomed the earth, it was like over as far as she could see.

Lovely.

And your analysis of what would have happened if Arjun had spoken up at the engagement function is also spot on. It was a no win situation for the poor chap.

Thanks again. I hope you will write more often for us.

Thanks Shyamala😃

Glad you felt so... i honestly thot the post got too long😕😆

i don't really agree that she doesn't love Arjun... she does... its just that she's so caught up with everything else. So caught with seeing everyone else happy that her own happiness has taken a back seat... she's reserved, her actions mellow, she has learnt to subdue her feelings and to give in to her mother's wishes.. isn't it why she agreed to marry vinay? and even when her engagement broke, she cried coz her aai was hurt, not because she was herself let down. But when she was let down by Arjun, she cried for her shattered heart. Obviously Archana's hiding business hurt her but was it also not the pain of realization that she won't be able to turn to her aai to share her pain now? Now, when she needs it the most!

somewhere i feel she feels indebted to Archana, for giving her love that she thinks was never in her fate... why would she keep saying so otherwise?

Hi Shyamala

Thanks very much for your comment👏

may be I was thinking differently..I was just trying to say to cheat anyone you don't have to love him/her, a verbal commitment is enough for this, I think. In any relationship, (sply the long distance one), the main important pillars are trust, commitment. Now, when Arjun was in Canada, he has given his words to Ovi ( whether spontaneously or by the virtue of circumstances hardly matters!!!), and he is very much aware of this, this is definitely a kind of cheating on Arjun's part.

May be Arjun was not right in handling the emotions of two girls. Id Purvi finds that Ovi is in love with Arjun for so many years and he is very much well informed about it, it will definitely cater the negative effect into the girl's mind..(the main witness was the bangle)Trust me..May be Purvi is feeling guilty of taking her sweetheart from Ovi.

Yes, of course..no one can control over one's emotion. Arjun was very much introvert type of person who can only open up towards very few people.( even dad DK was unable to read his son's language of heart)..so it was obvious that Teju is also unknown about Arjun's feelings towards Ovi.

This is just a thinking from my side..

I am afraid I do not see how he has 'cheated' Ovi .

That she has been (or has imagined herself to be) in love with Arjun (at 14, unless one is Shakespeare's Juliet, such feelings are generally an infatuation or a crush) does not mean he has to reciprocate it. If this was so, the great heart throbs would have to run for cover!

He never told Ovi that he was in love with her (it was DK's ill-conceived phone call that gave Ovi this wrong impression), and he has been trying to get out of the half-hearted commitment he made to her ever since he realised that he loved Purvi. and this irrespective of whether he was able to win over Purvi or not. These things happen in life - Arjun did not go looking for love, it just happened to him.

As for the bangles, he gave them to Purvi in an entirely different context, not as a gift of love. Ovi is a close friend, and why could he not have given her a similar gift as well ? Of course in the frame of mind she is in then, Purvi would be impervious to all these details, and one cannot blame her for that.

But the curious thing is that she never seems to think of asking Teju about what Arjun's feelings for Ovi were. Now that would have been useful for her to know, though it would not have made any difference to her decision to 'sacrifice' Arjun, she would at least have felt better about herself and Arjun.
