Arnav claims to have been IN LOVE with Khushi...and as such Man question what kind of LOVE was it when there is no TRUST in his LOVE, no will will to believe that his LOVE could STOOP so LOW?
Did or does Arnav really LOVE or has he ever LOVED Khushi? If so, how can he question her CHARACTER? I agree with many of you in questioning his LOVE for her, if there is no TRUST in who she is inherently, in her CHARACTER, how can he claim to have loved her?
In order to understand Arnav, we must accept that LOVE and TRUST are probably the two most difficult emotions for ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA.
I am as angry as the next woman...but I want to make an effort at understanding where he is coming from.
In trying understand his character, I think we should give him some SLACK too...the only thing he knows well...is MISTRUST!! Ever since childhood, he has only been PAIN and HURT that results from UNCONDITIONAL trust. When we see flashbacks of his Mother's death, there is an aura of mistrust and deceit in the air, and a distinct feeling that her death was caused by her break in her her unconditional LOVE and TRUST for his father. His inability to trust or allow himself to love on any level, except for his Di, is proof of the types of relationships he has seen to date...this MISTRUST is deeply rooted in his past.
One would then argue...why does he LOVE and TRUST his Di so much then? As for is attachment to his DI, that's purely a defense mechanism of a young child, an need to survive in a vicious world. Over time he has refined this attachment to an UNCONDITIONAL attachment, which when examined is not entirely healthy either.
In his adult life, the only other relationship he saw and admired till now was that of his DI and Jija Ji...so IMAGINE the LOSS of FAITH in TRUST again, when he learned of Shayam's deceit...more PROOF that there is no such thing as IMPLICIT TRUST or LOVE...it doesn't exist...he has never seen it!!!
In order to protect himself from HURT, Arnav has created and fed is EGO so much that it has has become a HUGE part of who he is and what he portrays himself to be to the world.
Khushi has to date impregnated his heart...broken some of his Fallacies of trust and love, more than any other woman has to date. She has a a very GOOD handle on how big his EGO is...probably better that any other woman has had to date...that is why she has such an IMPACT on him!!
Its thru the PAIN that he causes HER, and inevitable HIMSELF that he will realize how INCORRECTLY GLORIFIED his EGO is, and its her pain that will CRUSH it...bring about the IMPLICIT TRUST and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE...but in due time, not instantaneously!
And as I have said earlier, She can and will eventually FORGIVE him, because she has always been the STRONGER, more LOVING, and more GIVING than Arnav has been and probably can ever be.
