The past few weeks have been filled with uncertainty for Ramya. Her upcoming release with Upendra has been in a tug of war with another Uppi-starrer. And while it's still not clear if her film will hit theatres in the foreseeable future, the actor is not perturbed. "I want audiences to see what we have made and experience it in 3D. It has drama and comedy," says Ramya.
The buzz in Gandhinagar is that the film is a sequel to Uppi's Rakthakaneeru, which was produced by Munirathna, the man behind her upcoming film as well. "I don't want to comment on rumours. Let the audience figure out," is all she'll say.
Ramya, meanwhile, has bagged Tollywood director Kodi Ramakrishna's Kannada flick, which also stars Diganth. And while she does not want to comment on the details of her film, she has been training to get in shape for it. "It's not just for the film, but also for the healthy image that I want to maintain," says the actor.
Ramya, incidentally, is among the few heroines with a manager to handle her affairs. But, when news of her changing managers within a few months came, the rumour mills went into an overdrive. The buzz was that her former manager had exploited her for financial gain. Ramya, though, prefers to not confirm the same, but she issues no denial either, saying, "People are always taking you for granted in any profession. I fight my own battles. It's up to us to be careful and alert about these things."
