Lately, I was wondering (and still I am) if there are some interesting novels
(above all - written by Bengalis) set in Kolkata, describing Kolkata's streets,
districts and plain people's lives in the background...
Something like Sankar's "Chowringhee" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chowringhee_%28novel%29).
