Snapshots of the historical 'Prithviraj Chauhan - Dharti Ka Veer Yoddha' to be aired in May.
Saga: The Sagar Arts Production traces the life and times of the Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan. It is set in the 11th century.
Director's take: Director Shakti Anand says, "The show is a costume drama and will be the biggest historical show on television. We are not portraying a lesson in history. It's a dramatisation of a personal story."
Sets and structures: Two palace-sets, symbolizing the Ajmer and Kanauj palace, have been built in Baroda. An artificial lake and a desert have also been created. A 10,000 sq feet space has been created as the palace floor. Around 200 workers were brought in for the metal and woodwork in the palaces. Artists from the Anand School of Art and artists from Rajasthan were brought in to create the miniature paintings.
