I don't think he will over hear it because Ahem and Jigar were sent to office by Kokila.
Also its imp for the storyline to keep Ahem unaware of the fact that Gopi knows everything abt Ahem-Anita past and she identified Anita as his ex. In serial world misunderstandings need to be mounted up for the dramatic confrontation later.
