Negative effect of IF ranking . - Page 2

This is the MAIN reason of MIDs for sure. I seriously don't get why the members on I-F have to give this silly ranking way too much importance. 😕 Most probably last week here had a big fight between two fan-groups regarding who's at top. 😆 Some members are becoming more desperate day by day to create more MIDs and so they can post more comments as much as possible. Sometimes , it seems that they love I-F ranking more than the particular celeb. 😛 One can see the real definition of obsession here. 😆

I'm not against with the commenting system. Even I also comment on my favs profile sometimes. But , ranking is not needed as it only creates negativity.

I'm beyond tired of the rankings. In the beginning it was fun...now it's more or less competitions between fangroups. MIDs, bashing, crazy behaviour, etc, etc. There is nothing wrong with admiring an actor (up to an extent) but making it a life's mission is plain ridiculous! I have such a pressure from some of my IF friends to comment and view pictures of a certain actor/actress and yeah in the beginning I did so more to support them but now I can't be bothered. I've almost stopped commenting since many months because it became more of an obligation rather than doing it of free will. Beside there are better things to do then to obsess about who's number one and who's number 2. If only we could invest our time in things that REALLY mattered...

Probably the one thing that annoys me the most about IF. Something I can't get my head around. Why does it matter who is ranked #1 on an online forum? For the last 2 weeks the ranking topics have crossed over 150 pages and the comments are just two fan groups having a go at each other about how one actor is better than another.
