Starting watching - yesterday (18/04)

Hello All,

I started watching this show since the day before, when the whole truth was revealed to the family.
Just want to say - my mom's story is like Mona's.
But my mom - she came out, did her studies and went on to educate both me and my brother. Today,we both are in great position and taking good care of her.

As shown in the show, my mom's dad DID NOT support her. She had to stand on her own. It was tough for 1-2 years, but slowly it easied. I was10 when it all started. Today am 31.

I feel - once a husband slips, we SHOULD NEVER take them back, because, once they slip they can slip again. Also, a woman is very very strong and I really pray, this show shows it in the right way.

I want this show to show a positive aspect here. How despite having nothing, she comes out a winner. Her kids grow up well. Yes it is tough, but it is DOABLE.

I will cheer for this show if that happens.

IF THEY ARE GOING THE BIWI NO:1 way, then I will be hugely disappointed...

Usually I don't share these information, but coincidentally, day before when I watched the scene unfolding in the drama, I realised how eerily similar it was to my mom's story.

Indeed I am proud of what she has done and made us into...When small things bog me down, her thoughts boost me. Sometimes, I derive strength from the fact that I am her daughter and if not 100% I should have atleast 10% of her strength...

As you rightly said - to all Monas out there...husbands like Pradeep are so not worth it!!!
Woman can live without love from husbands like these...All everyone needs is a purpose...

My mom had us as the purpose and the reason to live...BTW - my dad did come back...But my mom said no...You have no idea how proud that made us feel, since both of us felt that the decision to again accept or reject our dad was dependent on mom...We were tempted to say no to him, but final decision was hers...And boy, she didn't let us down :D...

I will cheer for this show completely if they show woman as REAL WOMAN out there in the world!!!

P.S: Sorry for boring you all with my life story...In the last 2-3 months, this forum has become like second home and I have started commenting in shows I like and connect to!!!

First of all, my heartiest applause for your mom! 👏👏👏👏 She is indeed an inspiration!! THANK YOU for sharing your story with us. It must have taken courage to do this. It is a fine example of what women can and SHOULD do when confronted with such a situation.

Now let's just keep our fingers crossed that Ekta doesn't ruin the show by taking it the Biwi no.1 way.
