Note:-all the views in this post are entirely my opinion of what i have learnt from reading various scriptures and books till now...entirely my POV...incase anything is wrong really sorry-corrections and suugestions are whole heartedly exepted
thank you

What i love about our Indian Mythology, our Gods our history is that each of our stories-in the form of Sacred Texts like the Puranas,Bhagwat Geeta,Ramayan,Mahabharat etc always along with being great reads always offer us something to learn...
Courtesy DKDM and superb acting by Surendra Ji all of us loath Daksh...but despite all the negativity Daksh still manages to teach us something...
Three Kings;Prajyapati Daksh,Kans Mama, -all of them being Arrogant,Proud and Egoistic...and each of them to fullfill thier own egos were willing to sacrifice thier own blood...
Kans Mama-in the greed of power imprisoned his own father, sister and brother-in-law,killed 6 of his own sisters children, only for the one 8th child being Krishna at whose hands he was destined to meet his end,and yes he attempted to kill him too-but truth and good prevails doesnt it?...
Hiranyakashipu-blessed by Bramha with almost immortality,he thought himself to be God and ordered everyone to do so-but all except his son Pralhad obeyed him-he attempted to kill him,but each time Pralhads immense faith in Narayan saved him,and good prevailed over evil and Hiranyakashipu too met his end at the hands of Narsimha-an avatar of Vishnu
Daksh for fulfilling his ego-almost sacrificed his most favorite daughter, not for once even caring that Shivs insult would directly affect her too,and became the very cause of her death. All this just to prove his superiourity over Shiva. He too met his end at Shivas hands-but Shiva revived him with a Goats head to continue with the Ashavameda Yagya he was to perform for the well being of the universe
all these three men had pretty much quite a few things in common, arrougance, ego, hunger for power...
however in one way Daksh defered from Hiranyakashipu and Kand Maama is that Daksh was a Prajyapati-the safe keeper of the universe,he did do a lot of Punya(Good Deeds) by performing Yagyas etc to please the Gods and ensure the proper running if everything on earth-Bramha created him asthe protector of life,to procreate and help in the expansion of human life...However once his arrogant deeds took over all the good deeds he did,he met his end...
what Daksh teaches us is that arrogance,Ego kill the goodness in any person and the greed and want for both of them only leads to distruction and degradation of ones persona,it blinds someone to such an extent that all the goodness in one is taken over by negative qualites like greed, anger, pride, arrogance and ego...
its a pity that Daksha was actually a Prajyapati but he is not remembered for any good thing he may have done, but is only remembered because he became the sole cause of his own daughters death...sad isnt it...all the good things done struck off by bad actions...such a pity...that is why be good,be forgiving, large hearted and crush your unessesary ego at the bud...life will be much much better!

phew im done..hoped you liked my post

well ego is the first enemy for every human within him...rest are next ...Even Ravan is a great singer and Shiv bhakth but whats the use, Chanting his SHiv Thandav Stotra is not ,whole heartily welcomed by all the people ,because of the negative impact created by him later .Only the mantras of saints who lived in huts are ruling every heart till now ...
I accept with u thank you for such a post

A very nice post indeed shruti...i love it...you said right whatever right we may do in our life but if we do something bad all the right washes away...even i have thought over this so many times that despite a wise person prajapati himself led to his destruction and caused death of his daughter..he was a great vishnu bhakt and did all yagya to please devtas but the only insult he did was of shiv and that only lead to all this...sighs but thats life i guess ...wo kehte hain na paap ka ghada bharte der nahin lagti

Such a sweet post Shruthi only you could do that..👏I totally agree with every word you have said..Felt very sad that a EGO& ARROGANCE took over the strongest bond f a Father & daughter love also..very sad..& people like Vijaya are always there who because of their short comings in life will always fullfill their irritation by spoiling others peace of mind..pleanty in every Puran katha of ours..like Shakuni..Manthara..Shurpanaka..Vijaya...the list goes on..& on..

All these people be it Asura or human, does penance for many years, gets boon for their penanace, becomes arrogant as the result of their power, starts misusing it, creating -ve Karmas. Till their +ve Karmas are balance, they enjoy success in being arrogant, crual. The moment +ve Karmas gets over & -ve Karma reaches it's peak, are punnished or finished as per the Universal law. Be it any character. Daksh's some punyas were still balance, which made him alive & he lived with a Goathead.
