In real life, this marriage would not last. But in this story, the poor girl is trying, and if you think of it, falling for Suraj slowly. there are so many people feeling sorry for Suraj that he is not getting husband's due share, but I wonder why they do not feel for Sandhya? Is she getting a wife's due respect and love? No, not at all. Suraj's love for her is hidden inside his heart which is overshadowed by love and respect for his mother.

I personally know girls whose strengths are not cooking and doing household chores, but they are tremendously talented in science and other creative things. Sandhya's greatest wealth is her good values and her love for knowledge, for which there is no appreciation at all in the Rathi household. So what is keeping her there? surely, her love for Suraj, of which she is unaware.

Yes, I am hurt and pained to see her like this, and no offence meant to any member, I can not side with Suraj and his family, however nice and good he is. He was being nice to her, but when the time for real testing came, he miserably failed. He showed his true colors that being raised by a narrow-minded mother, he cannot see beyond physical and menial gains in a relationship.
