Vijay is just on his side he don't care about manyata and J he is just scheming for himself he is just trying to make the 2 sisters fight and thinking to make his own way to throne

As we all have read in the story of cats and monkey and there is a saying that in the fight of 2 cats the profit is always of Monkey

So i think Vijay is the Monkey here😆 he is using the trick divide and rule

hey...yeah your explanation does make sense...but why is he only making Jay fight...why not Manyata also...???

may be because J trust him completely and it is easy for him to make J fight to manyata

jai is an old companion of vijay's. he knows her buttons. manyata does not really react until provoked so thats why vijay instigates jai to provoke manyata. manyata has too many other things going in her head she is not like jai who only thinks of frivolous things and also there are too many eyes on manyata. uday, komal and ds have hawk eyes on her. so its easier to get to jai. sorry for replying so late. was sleeping.
