Abbas-Mastan told Deepika Padukone to shed 4-5 kg

Deepika Padukone has reportedly been asked to shed pounds for Race 2.

The actress is said to be taking pilates classes in order to get into shape, after returning to the production.

A source told Mumbai Mirror: "Race 2 went on floors last week. However major portions of Deepika's scenes have been allotted in the film's second schedule, which will take place next year.

"In the film, she has to don short, ultra-glam dresses, and so, she needs to lose weight. She has since been regulating her diet."

A friend of Padukone confirmed the news but claimed that the sports fanatic had made the decision herself.

The 26-year-old reportedly stuck to an intensive cycling routine while filming action comedy Desi Boyz in London.

She's absolutely beautiful the way she is. Don't see why she needs to go into the Anushka mode during LVRB 😕 At this rate she will have no flesh left inside of her. Pathetic really! Let's hope her face does not start to look bigger then her body.

This article came out earlier...it's so dumb! Deepika does not need to lose weight at all! She's in good shape.
