Why does Beauty matter so much in Film industries?

I dont understand how some actresses get roles when they can not even act, do they get roles because they are white and pretty. What about TALENT.

What about actresses like Konkona Sen Sharma who have talent but not that much of beauty. Why are actresses like these ignored.

I also dont get how actresses like Amrita Rao or Kangna Ranaut or Ameesha Patel are considered as B Grade , as they actually are better actresses than some of our top ladies in Bollywood currently. I dont want to name any names, but some can not even speak our language.

So frustrating to see how some actresses just get roles by exposing their bodies but not having any talent at all.

PS; I seriously dislike Sajid Khans movies. To much dirt. It does not belong to bollywood

talented or not talented - is just a perspective!

only serious cinema actors are not talented! talent could also mean making aam junta relate to you - a mainstream actor/actress could well fit the glove, in that case!

personally, Amisha only did well in about two or so movies!

Not just films, beauty matters everywhere. We are ALL shallow. We like looking at pretty things. The filmmakers are only cashing in on that innate human desire.

Unfornutely.actresses who have beauty are offered the better roles, whether they can act or not.

I think bith should be important. Yu need beauty to attract the. Audience and talent to grab aidience Trenton. But in past not all actresses and actors were just glam..there acting chops mattered
