He clenched his fists and closed his eyes. He knew that being angry right now would get him nowhere. He had to stay calm and listen to what was going on. But it was proving so hard. Just the mere thought of her being help captive somewhere he didn't know, somewhere he couldn't reach, killed him inside.

The hall was echoing the silence of the phone. DS, Brijraj, Giriraj and Udayveer were still on their respective positions. All they could do was wait, wait to hear the voice come out of the the phone which was kept on the center table.

"Bol!"

The voice from the phone broke the glasses of silence and the attention was focused on the phone again.

"Kya bolun?"

He heard her voice, loud and clear and he sighed. It did not seem like the voice of someone who was being held captive in dangerous conditions. Her voice still had the commanding tone to it. Which means she was alright...she had to be alright.

"Zyada zabaan na chala mere saath! Bol inhen ke agar wo hamari maang puri nahin karenge tou hum tumara aisa hashar karenge ke tumare apne ghar wale tumein pehchan nahin paenge!"

The man's voice disturbed him. More than that, it angered him. He felt like smashing something. Brijraj made an impatient move for the phone but DS put a hand on his shoulder and silently advised him to calm down.

"Nahin bolungi." After a few moments, Manyata's voice spoke calmly.

"Kya kaha?" There was disbelief in the man's voice. His threat was completely bounced back, what else could he feel?

"Main apne ghar walon se jhoot nahin bolti. Tum mujhe kuch kar hi nahin sakte." The calmness in her voice was soothing him. He couldn't help but smirk a little. Only Manyata can calmly face danger like that. At a time when any normal girl would get scared and beg for mercy, she was telling the men her morals.

"Kya kaha?!" The man's voice was loud and despite only hearing the voice, Udayveer could feel that he was intending to physically harm her.

"Apne haatho ko qabu mein rakho!!" Her voice was louder and the commanding factor clearly over-powered him. "Mat bhoolo ke main sirf Devgarh ki waris nahin hun, Jaigarh ke Yuvraj ki mangetar bhi hun! Devgarh aur Jaigarh agar tumari aisi harkat pe tumein chor bhi de tou bhi wo tumein kabhi maaf nahin kare ga. Aisi liye behter hai ke tum sambhal jao. Meri jism pe lage ek ek nishan ke badle wo tumari ek ek haddi tor dega."

Udayveer was stunned. How did she know that?

"Hmph! Dekh lenge." The man on the phone smirked. "Kya ukharta hai wo?"

Wham! The sound of hard flesh hitting the soft one echoed in the room and the line got disconnected.

She narrowed her eyes and reached out for the magazine in his hand. His amused smile was only instigating her further.

"Maine kaha magazine do." She asked for it calmly.

"Nope." He replied with equal calm.

"Magazine." She asked for it again and put her palm in front of him so that he could place it on her hand.

"No way." His smile got deeper and he shook his head. She gave him an angry look and again reached out for his hand but he stretched his hand up high so she couldn't reach him. She jumped but he was already so tall and he was holding his tall arm above his head, no way could she reach him.

"Maine kaha magazine do!" She cried as she jumped up and down like a bunny. Udayveer bit his lip to stop the laughter.

She stopped trying and huffed. Looking at the side, she saw the sofa behind him. Walking towards it, she climbed it and stood up. He turned around and saw that she was reaching to his level, maybe two or three inches high. He knew what she was going to do so he moved his arm behind his back and hid the magazine from her sight.

"ooh! Too bad Princess. You lose." He smirked, winked and waved her goodbye and turned around to leave. What happened next was, well it wasn't completely unpredictable but he definitely didn't expect it.

"Udayveer ke bache!!!" With one single cry, she jumped on his retrieving back and clung to his neck like a Koala hugging a tree.

"Ouch! Manyata!" He cried as she started hitting him all over the body. Luckily his grip on the magazine was strong so it didn't fall off.

"Mujhe mera magazine do!" She shouted in his ears as she continued hitting him. Her loud voice directly in his ear was pure torture but he didn't do what she wanted. He wasn't the type to lose. So what if it was a childish game.

"Nahin!" He said and braced himself for the beating. She kept hitting him for a while then stopped. He opened his eyes and turned his head back to look at her. She was looking at him, their eyes met for a while.

"Thak gayi?" He asked her and the fire in her ignited again.

"Main tujhe zinda nahin chorungi!!" With that, she continued hitting him while he supported her weight and saved himself from possible harm.

Unbeknownst to them, Unnati had peaked in just at the moment when Manyata had stopped hitting. Seeing her brother and his possible future wife in an apparently romantic pose, she just clicked the picture of him staring at her face as she clung to his back like a baby. She had thought it was too cute to be ignored.

Unfortunately, she didn't get to see what happened next. Else, she definitely wouldn't have showed that picture to both the families as a sign of their love and sped up the marriage process.

She looked sideways at the crowd of all the S-class students who had now completely left off all the activities and were staring at her. It was time she moved now. This place was not meant for her, Royals always scared her after that incident and now here in the room full of such Royals, it was a miracle she was still standing.

Bowing her head, she turned around and started to walk silently. God, she needed some fresh air soon. But she had taken just a few steps when the drunken voice made her freeze.

"Psssh! What's with you acting all like a shy doll and covering it up. It's not like I haven't seen what's underneath all is. You Bitch, I know all your secrets."

The words and that horrible laugh were enough to drive her crazy. Without thinking what she was doing, without any fear of the consequences, she turned around the covered the distance between herself and him in two strides. Looking directly into his drunk eyes, she was dangerously close to him. So close, she was inhaling the smell of alcohol coming from his body.

"Dont. You. Dare!" She hissed and felt a certain pleasure seeing fear in his eyes. The anger in her wasn't going away and she wanted to inflict him certain pain.

"Manyata!" A voice came from distant and it made her blink and get back to her senses. Seeing how close she was to him, she took a step back in surprise.

Unnati came rushing to her and pulled him back.

"Yudhishtra dada! Stop it!" Unnati hid Manyata behind her back and stood between her and Yudhishtra whose anger was now visible more than ever.

"Step aside! I'm gonna kill this little bitch!" Pushing aside Unnati, he made a move towards Manyata. Old fear started circulating her body and she closed her eyes to brace herself for the incoming physical pain.

"I guess that's enough." When the pain didn't come, the voice made her open her eyes and look up. Yuvraj Udayveer was standing beside Yudhishtra and holding his raised hand. Manyata could see that boiling rage in Udayveer's eyes but his face didn't show it. She glanced at Unnati who was getting up from the floor, the force of Yudhishtra's push had made her stumble and fall.

Manyata again looked at Udayveer who was looking at her. Who could say that just a few moments ago he was joking with her with amusement in his eyes and smirk on his lips? Now, the amusement was replaced with rage and his jaw was set. She didn't need words to understand what she had to do. Clenching her fists and biting her lips to stop the tears from falling, she bowed her sweaty face for a split second and ran away from there. What happened behind her, she didn't care.

She was scared, suffocating. It was as if she was back in the same darkness in which she was locked when she was 7. She needed some air, fresh air. Her legs were guiding her to the open garden.

Once she reached there, saw the clear blue sky and the lush green grass, her legs became weak. Falling on her knees, she gave one last look at the sky and broke down.

Now, no one would could see her and no one would stop her. So, she cried. Like a helpless child, she cried.
