Reacting over trivial matters strains relationships

Hi everyone, I feel that at times, MILs make a mountain out of a mole hill. The root cause may be something else but they react differently.

Recently, things have not been going smoothly with Maa and me. Even though I am trying my best, something or the other happens to disturb the peace and happiness of my family. I can't see Maa upset but lately she has been unwittingly getting involved in unpleasant incidences. First, the Holi-media fiasco and now, the way my director shouted at her for unknowingly wearing those slippers.

Does Maa still not appreciate my working in the serials? Is this why, for every small issue, she gets touchy and reacts over trivial matters. How can I change her point-of-view? She is not entirely to be blamed for everything that goes wrong with her but she should also not hold me responsible all the time.

Maa is very simple at heart and takes everything at face value. She doesn't put much thought into what she is doing. My director should not have insulted her the way he did. I was angry at him and told him so. He said he will apologize to her but my only worry is that Maa does not seem happy that I work in serials. Ishaan was angry at me for insisting on taking Maa with me for shooting. I want to apologise to her and get over with all this.
