It will take enormous strength of character for the Sharmas to win this battle. Indira might have a fight to collect evidence against Sameer but the real test will be for Mandira since she will be subjected to untold misery in the court where they will repeatedly make her relive the rape. She will be asked unimaginable questions. The other problem is she indeed has a not-so-clean past. So it will be very difficult for her.
Usually in these cases, the victim faces so much humiliation that she gives up the fight. I hope they show a strong Mandira so that other women in the real world can learn from her. ( The CVs have stepped on a land-mine. They better handle this really well).
Regarding Rishi, you are right. His conscience will not allow him to go. And for the first time I think we'll see Indira really depending on him ( I think she will now acknowledge this). Her need for him now is much much more than his need for her (tables have turned).
Agreed!
Sharmas have to stand united. This situation woll need all their strength, plus some. But I do not believe that Sharmas have it. I really hope Inder Sharma, for once, thinks about putting his children's needs in front on his mistress's needs. I was surprised when he agreed to look after Vidith when Kutumb and Sunaina went to the police station. I was impressed by him imploring Vidith to pray along with himš This scene was out of character.
And I agree with your sentiment that Indira needs Rishi more at this stage in her life. No man is an island and we all need help of others, for others to adopt our cause and run with it, especially when the cause is so much bigger than one person. In this fight, Indira needs all the help she can get. More importantly, she needs make her helpers feel that they are stakeholders in this fight. Then and only then will they go the extra miles needed to win against Sameer and his Diwan money & connections. Rishi is already a stakeholder because Sameer is his brother, and he feels guilty of bringing him into such close contact with Sharmas.
But who knows the mind of CVs. This is a sensitive, but a very real issue.
