I am not sure if I commented before, but I have read the story today for the 2nd time - that should tell you how much I liked and enjoyed it!
Beautifully written and lovely, sensible perspective on Arnav and Khushi relationship - something that many viewers would have hope for, but then how would the serial last long enough? :-))Do update soon!
**From cloud 9**
Thank you thank you thank you!
I agree with the part of how will the serial continue, however I do feel there are so many aspects to a relationship that can be explored effectively in a serial. Just their main tag line, nafrat paas anay na dai, mohabbat door janay na de has so much scope!
from your id i can say u were a fan of dmg, mee too 😊. And they could have done so much with it without changing it into a circus. DMG had a LOT of scope in terms of the Hospital setting and Armaan Riddhimaa relationship.

And of course the milliondollar question!
When are you updating next?? :-))
Part 15
With his very rare, disarming and to-die for smile, Arnav made Khushi sit up and gave a her one long possessive kiss and got up. He extended his hand to her and helped her get up.
"Let's smuggle you out of the Raizada Mansion before someone calls in asking for a certain sanka devi," he said pressing her to his side with an arm slung across her shoulders, "who was supposed to have left half an hour ago!" he finished as Khushi elbowed him.
Managing to go out without crossing paths with the ever busy Raizada clan, they were soon on their way to Khushi's house. Both of them were lost in their own thoughts of what was going to happen next, what they should do. They kept giving each other sidelong glances throughout the drive but none of them broke the silence until the car came to a halt outside Khushi's house.
Khushi extended her hand to cover his as reassurance and said, "Don't worry, everything will eventually be alright, it won't be easy but it has to be done. I regret a lot that I didn't tell you earlier, it wasn't my secret to keep at all," she sighed, "If only I had followed my brain instead of my heart that time!" she rued.
Intertwining his fingers with hers, he squeezed her hands to let her know he understood for he was overcome with emotions again. There was a lot more about Di that met the eye, and breaking this to her was not going to be easy; he just hoped she came out of it unscathed. Khushi watched as he controlled himself and her eyes misted over. She got down, closed the door and waved him goodbye as he drove away. She continued to stand there until his car disappeared from her sight.
Her image in the rear-view remained with him all night, she looked forlorn and lonely and every time he thought about it, he felt a sad tug his heart leaving him feeling melancholy. And maybe it was this feeling that made him wake up with a start at 3 in the morning. He had dreamed of Khushi, she had been crying and something about the way she cried and the way he felt in the dream suggested that they were parted from each other. Shaking his head he scooted backwards to lean against the headrest and drank water. He then began to plan his moves like the shrewd businessman he was known as. He mind mapped different possibilities that will expose Shayam Jha's treachery towards his wife in terms of fidelity and money swindling. But the time factor in every option was too much for his liking, everytime he thought of Shayam with his Di, sleeping under his very roof he felt insects crawling all over him, his blood boiling in rage. He hadn't seen him up till now, what will he do when he will!
Khushi too, in her room was caught in the same quagmire of a situation. As a woman herself she could imagine the disgust Anjali was going to feel when she finds out. Anjali was a giver, she gave without expecting anything and this had to happen to her. Khushi turned to the other side and looked at Devi Maiyaan, "Why do you do such things that we fail to understand! Anjali Di is always doing Puja, keeping wraths and still this happened with her!" Tossing to the other side she thought, "Only if we find someone good enough for our Di………oh sanka devi first get rid of this snake and then start looking for someone else!" she chided herself.
Next Morning, Arnav went out before breakfast leaving yet another message of an important meeting with Hari Parakash. He was trying his best to avoid Shayam, he didn't trust himself to stay in control once he laid eyes on him. One thing was clear, he was going to make sure he do whatever possible to prevent Shayam from going on with his sleaziness. A couple of things were up his sleeves and needed immediate actions. "Anjali Di," he kept on thinking about her, despair was building up inside him at the fact that he couldn't right away go set the records straight, he hadn't come up with anything!
It was way after dinner time that Arnav entered an uncharacteristically quiet Raizada Mansion. To his surprise everyone except Di was in the lounge, very quietly having their tea. Everyone had very somber expressions on their faces. Arnav was unable to fathom anything until he looked at Nani who just gave him one of her reproaching looks.
"Oh so its something to do with me!" he thought to himself while going forward and sitting down right across Nani, "Nani what has happened?" said Arnav, never the one to avoid taking the bull by the horns.
"Oh! So you have to ask what you have done. Of course, you do things without thinking of anyone so realizing their implications is a bit beyond you, isn't it?" she said at her caustic best.
"Ammaji, for this I think he must have thought a lot before doing anything and I am sure he has good reasons," said Mamaji.
"Nani, can you kindly be a bit more direct instead of just being sarcastic and not telling me anything. By the way, where is Di?" he asked
"Wah chote wah, at least you are asking about your Di after giving her such a mighty blow, kahan ho gi? She is in her room crying, not letting anyone in! You should at least have had the decency to inform your Jijaji that you were not going to transfer money to their joint account. He had to face such humiliation today when his check bounced!" Nani finished angrily in one breath.
Arnav was already halfway up the stairs when she finished. With a thudding heart he ran to Di's room and knocked wildly while calling out to her, "Di please open the door, let me in," he beseeched.
He was answered by absolute silence, he tried once more and received the same eerie silence. In panic he started pushing against the door with all his strength and broke the lock. He found a bitterly crying Anajali sitting on her bed with her arms folded around her knees. Quickly he went and knelt down by her side, putting his hand on her knee he asked a glaringly obvious question, "Di, are you upset at me?"
Anjali looked away without answering and continue dto cry. "Di, at least talk to me, ask me why I did it? Do you think I'd do anything without reason?" he said desperately.
"No, chote you think a lot before doing anything, but at least you should have informed me that you found me and my husband a burden on you, I would have understood. But what you did was a cause of so much embarrassment for your Jija that I am unable to raise my head in front of him. He is so good to me, and my family, so respectful and this is how he is treated. And he had only used the account because he had run out of money. He himself is so kind that most of the cases he takes he does them pro bono!"
"Di, listen.." he tried to say something when Anjai raised her hand to quiet him.
"No Chote I don't want to listen to anything. If you want to you can apologize to your Jija, if not then too you are free to what you want! And while we are at it do let me know if you can have us under your roof for a few more days or shall we go by tomorrow?" she finished cruelly.
With tears in his eyes, he clenched his fist around the bedspread while he tried to control himself, letting out a low growl he just banged his fists on the bed and went out. He was having hard time breathing; he took of his tie, coat and waistcoat and threw them on the floor on his way out of the RM. Once outside he got in his car and drove off at a dangerous speed. He drove aimlessly for an hour, hoping his frustration would ebb down but nothing happened. After another 30 minutes he found himself outside Gupta's house. For some time he just sat in the car with his head on the steering wheel before dialing her number.
"hello" he heard her voice on the other end.
"Khushi, please open your door, I am outside. I really need to see you!" he said in an uneven voice and cancelled the call.
Within a minute Khushi opened the door to find a tired and worn out Armaan with the sleeves of his steel grey shirt rolled up and the top two buttons undone which was such a contrast to the impeccable state in which he had always come to their house. She looked up into his eyes which had a wild look in them.
He entered and waited for her to lock the door before taking her hand and walking towards her room. Once inside he locked the room and crushed her against him taking her completely by surprise. Instinctively her hands went around him and she hugged him back for she had sensed that he needed to be comforted. Quietly she kept rubbing his back trying to ease him until his grip on her loosened a bit.
She took the opportunity to extricate herself from his arms and made him sit down on the bed with her and asked what had happened.
Without letting her hand go he said, "Di is totally upset with me and she even talked about moving out!" he then filled her in with all the details.
Squeezing his hand in reassurance she didn't know what to say. She felt a lump forming in her throat, she felt for Arnav. Getting up on the bed, she went and knelt on it behind him and started to massage his shoulders and back. Her fingers worked magic on him and he felt his tight muscles relaxing a bit. After some time he raised his hands and took hers to encircle them around his neck as he leaned back against her.
"Khushi, what shall I do? There is nothing that I can do but go tell her everything directly! I know she is fragile and all but any woman in her place would prefer the truth, however harsh it maybe, over being kept in darkness by people who claim to love her" he said plainly, "What about you Khushi, would you have welcomed plain truth or that people around you kept thinking about your feelings and stall telling you?" he asked her.
Slackening her hold a little she said, "I know I should have told her but I really thought that thins between them might get better and that……"
Arnav swiftly cut her and turned around to face her, "No! No, Khushi I wasn't pointing my finger at you, I was seriously asking for your opinion, and as far as thins getting better is concerned, even then she deserves to know what had happened," he paused and then continued, "What if we were married and I had brief fling with someone which I regretted and then came back to you? Do you think it would have been ok if I had never let you know?" he asked.
Khushi just shook her head for her heart had stopped beating when he said the word "married".
Swallowing the lump that had formed in her throat and suppressing the flutters in her stomach she just looked at him speechless.
Arnav's eyes widened questioningly at the apparent loss of voice but realization soon came and he turned around again to look out of the window at the dark sky. "Married to Khushi!" he thought, "Where did that come from?"
Clearing her throat Khushi said haltingly, "I will do it."
Swiftly turning around with the words "Married to Khushi" still whooshing around in his mind he said in a surprised tone, "What!"
"I'll talk to Anjali Di and tell her everything, but we just need to make sure we meet somewhere outside!" Khushi explained.
"hmmm ok, tomorrow then?" he confirmed, his voice weary and tired.
"Yes," Khushi nodded holding his face and then planted a light kiss on his forehead trying to rub away the worry creases, "Don't worry everything will be alright," she comforted him.
"I hope so"
