Fantastic, Melodiousdreams.
You know what struck me the most about the Aarti-Yash interaction is that Yash did not seem embarrassed at all when he was alone with Aarti. His need to get to his shirt was solely based on his awareness of Aarti's impression about him and her very visible discomfort.
On the other hand, when Prateek comes and then sings the song, Yash seems visibly embarrassed that he doesn't have too much clothes on. I think Yash and Aarti are very attracted to each other, they are just not consciously aware about it. There is still all the baggage from their first marriage that's clouding their initial attraction towards each other. What a ride its going to be for the jodi and for us audience. 😃
And yes, no Yashu please! Although I would like to see them dropping their formality towards each other at some point. :)
@narangi_77 loved your OS (although I have no idea what OS stands for). I am loving your write ups as much as the show. :)
Thanks so much for reading and bringing up some points that I noticed and didn't include in my already-too-long post! 👏
Yash was indeed most concerned about Aarti's visible discomfort - that's what the entire "Should I get the pants first or the shirt?" thing was about, I think. He realizes that it would be a better idea to put the shirt on, and it's ironic that just as he begins to move towards alleviating that discomfort for her sake, she begins to panic and his action is what spurs her into action.
Regarding the attraction...I'll reserve my conclusions about that particular word for now...But I do think that they're definitely aware of each other in a way that perhaps would not have happened if Mansi had not been drilling her theories into Aarti's head. Yash is handsome, gentle, and a thorough gentleman, but Aarti's loss of faith in the institution of marriage and her understandable fear of being treated like an object that is to be used and discarded upon a whim (like Prashant did) in addition to Mansi's comments, has caused her impression of Yash to be tainted. I actually like the way this is shaping up: the heightened awareness of proximity and the challenges of forging an emotional bond after a second marriage...Aarti is a very beautiful, very sweet, and very decent woman - but I doubt Yash would have been this highly observant about Aarti's behavior around him if it hadn't been for that bee incident and Prateek's comment that day, after which that avalanche of events began. Aarti intrigues him more and more...He is starting to understand her even as she tries to distance herself from him, and I find it rather ironic that he's noticing so much about her when he had repeatedly told himself earlier that no one can take Arpita's place in his life...
I honestly love the way Gurmeet brings out the concern that flickers across Yash's face whenever Aarti reacts to him, and I love Kratika's ease at showing so many shades of so many emotions just as much. The two of them seem so well-tuned to each other already (heck, that's why I loved the promos so much in the first place!) and it's so interesting watching how easily they react to each other in front of the camera as Yash and Aarti.
Ah, such a thought-provoking comment, angake! I need to watch the scene again to revisit your comment about the underlying attraction between the two of them...Will be back again in a bit!
