So my fears of the new director are pretty much confirmed ... All the subtlety, the nuances are vanquished with a sledge hammer ...
We now have a regular tv hero in love who bashes people, sits around and has flashbacks and needs to be told the "definition" of love like a school going boy rather than a grown man that he is.
what is this love-shove ? ... Why would mohan fall in love with mrs vyaas ? ... is there any logic to it ? ... Given the nature and scope of their interactions he may feel respectful , admire her, or maybe even feel attracted ... but what is this going full on alpha male ?
guru's interactions before with mohan were teasing, fun, always hinting on to something ... but today, it was like a lesson on love ... when you do A, B, C it means you are in L, O, V, E ... have the CVs conveniently forgotten that Mohan has been in love before ? he doesn't need to be schooled in what love feels like ... he knows it and has suffered greatly for it
what is with the hazaar flash backs ?
Prateik is just creepy ... but he is not even intelligent creepy ... he is just stupid ... what kind of villain, stand around in his office and pretends to pose with the heroine in his arms?
When did Megha turn into those preachy tv heroines *head desk* ... the kind that always talked about humanity, morality, jazbbaat etc etc etc ... the best part about megha was that she did not need long dialogues to show what a moral person she was ... it was somehow always conveyed with her attitude ... what is this lamba chauda bhaashan about finding the people in the story while mohan looked to awestruck like he was just about to jump out of the chair and kiss the ground she walked on ...
On the positive side, the humour quotient of the show has obviously upped ... mohan massaging prateik was hilarious ... the new director obviously has his forte - and that is fun scenes ... that is great ... but sadly all the things that drew me to the show are slowly falling apart ...
i know a lot of people are loving the new look ... but sadly it isn't working for me ... i thought NBTNMKK and I were going to have a long term romance ... but sadly it was just a short affair ...
