Hi Guys..
Have to say something here...
There are so many people on this forum that are staunch fans of the male lead...that sometimes the lines get blurred whether the forum is about the show or the actor in question.
Forum members may not realize it but the general vibe emanating from this forum is that negative comments are generally not appreciated...on this particular forum...and this thread actually confirms that vibe...Due to the cult following that the male lead has i would actually think twice before i wrote anything here.
It is actually a strange situation...the show is for a mature audience...(punar vivah is hardly a topic for the younger viewers.) yet the male lead has a fan following probably in the younger generation...
IMO, its very simple...if i have a view on teh show...i.e. if i feel that the show is slow...actor could do a better job etc...i should be comfortable enough to air that view on the forum...the fact of the matter is that i m investing my time in watching the show...nowhere is it written that i have to either love the show or change the channel...or that i have to either write just positively about the show / the actor or change the channel...if that is the case, than that should really form part of the rules of the forum and should be boldly highlighted.
there are so many times that i have thought of commenting on an episode but just didn't bother to...coz i didn't want to face teh wrath of the male lead fan following. the ownership in the show only vests in the production house, so technically everyone is free to comment. And just as it has been suggested that the channel should be changed perhaps the comments should either be intelligently responded to, or if not worth responding to ignored. Perhaps the person commenting feels as much a sense of ownership in teh show as the person responding.
it would probably do the show and the actors a lot more damage if they just heard good things about themselves and not the truth...!
And i honestly feel that there should be a clear demarcation between a fan club for the male lead and the show...who doesn't like eye candy...but there are some who watch the show for the show and not for the male lead.
