The Ultimate Question- Why so negative?

Here is my take.

Most of SNS viewers have noticed one characteristic throughout the show--Negativity. So why exactly do you think the CV's are, as many of us like to call it, "promoting" negativity? Is there some kind of hidden message behind evil winning every time instead of the archetypal theme of good winning against evil ? Are we missing the moral that they are trying to get across? Is there even a moral or is this just pure entertainment ? Let's be honest here guys, how many people actually like to send out wrong messages like "Being evil is better than being good" ? The answer can be seen around us if you look. Not many. So no, they are not trying to persuade us into believing evil conquers good. No, they are not promoting kalakaries and no, there probably is not any sort of moral at the end of this fable. It's only a story and not all stories need to have a lesson at the end of it.

But wait, no lessons? What's the point of watching this show then? I'm glad you asked ! The point is knowing that the show is trying to take realistic scenarios of life. (Apart from the whole walking around looking like you are dressed for a party and not going to the restroom or taking many showers) If you can tell me right now that you don't think the show has atleast some realistic aspects, then please be my guest and prove me wrong. Now, back to the question. Why so negative? The answer is simple. Because life doesn't always have happy endings. Separations do happen in family and some family members are indeed evil. Neither do all secrets come out soon, if at all .(Reference to all the unfinished tracks) Love does not happen in the spur of a moment and not all evil beings change to being good. From what I've read on the forum, you all love this realism of the show. That's precisely why we love SNS. So please, let's make sure we know that the show is not promoting negativity or kalakaries, for that matter. (Even if it seems so) However, I do admit that it seems like it is doing that which is increasingly annoying all of us. But look at it this way, all serials have a happy ending (No matter how real they are trying to be). So Gohem will be together and RaJi will also. (If we are lucky, Kinwal will too) SNS will have a happy ending and through all the evil schemes and loud phone conversations of Urshi, we shall still love SNS for being SNS. The bitter truth of reality with a hint of Indian seriality.

Guys please stick by the show and not leave just because it is showing the truth of life. I know we watch dramas to escape reality but to be frank, you can never truly escape reality. We have to take SNS for what it is, whether it is annoying or wonderful. Look beyond what it is now and imagine the future. It will get better. It must. (If not, we will plan an attack on the CV's 😈)

But for right now ...SNS,
I love you like a love song baby ! 😆

Very well said..👏 It is negative the way we perceive it.. But let us look at it this way..

Gopi (the good) has tears an sadness. Yes. But she is still happy with whatever she has. Doesn't it tell us that happiness is based on our own perception? That we can stay happy even in the smallest of things..That love conquers all.. That we can dream of true soulmates and a saathiya. That love may not be on first sight, but when it is true love there is no parallel to it? That is a huge dosage of positivity to me..
On the other hand, Rashi always is unhappy. Yes, there are times she smirks and is happy in her short term success. But has she ever been shown truly happy? I doubt it.. Does that not show us that whatever you do, as long as your thoughts and intentions are evil, there is no happiness that you can enjoy, ever?

And as you rightly pointed out, the very reason we love SNS is because it shows relationships that are very close to reality. Yes. There are people who break families, people who want everything materialistic and do not care about others.. In varying extents..
But then as all serials do, SNS will also show the bad losing and good winning in the end... As Munni says we will just have to take the good with the bad😃

My take on this is that it is a long term serial, so the tracks that are shown also take long to come to conclusion whether they are good or bad. In our minds, the negative tracks seem to take longer to finish, because we feel uncomfortable watching them even though they are necessary for the story. We have been seeing for a long time the loving relationship between Kokila and Gopi and we are not complaining why it is dragging; why there are no problems between them? Negative and positive are two sides of the same coin. If we don't see the negative, how would we enjoy the positive then?
Yes, in real life too, there are situations as are in the serial, but they are not constant and on such a larget scale as in the serials. Since this is a fiction, both good and bad characters, and both negative and positive situations have to be built on a grand scale to make the maximum impact on viewers. If they just showed subtlety, the scenes will finish before you would blink and you would be left wondering what happened. At least these days, the serials do not show rapes and murders of family members which will be unbelievable.
The serials are also made for a wider audience of different mind sets, ages, and gender. The CV's try to cater to a variety of people. This is a drama and not a comedy or a romance where they should show happy people all the time. It is a fiction and not meant to lecture so it needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I do wish though they will change the story line a little because the same kalakaris again and again played by the same characters against the same characters are become a little boring. The show is meant to entertain people after all. But again, it is a long term serial and not a three hour movie.

hey a really nice post! But in real life i think sadly its the people who are wicked who are happier than the simple ones. Its a serial so we are sure that the evil will pay for their sins right here on earth but i cant say that about real life. But yup i have no idea why people are quittin this show coz they have waited for almost two years so they can wait some more!

Excellent points made !! 👏We like to watch positive and happy tracks which is why they seem so short meanwhile negative and evil tracks seem never-ending because we are forcing ourselves to watch them.

Serials have to make everything a big deal in order to keep the viewers interested in the show. SNS atleast tries to keep those incidents realistic.

And yup it is a show and it's made for long term effects, unlike a movie. Dramas have a lot of tracks and many twists and turns along the way. We have to put on our seatbelts and hold on tight ! 😊

You've hit it right on target ! 😊

Yup, it's always the evil people that are happier in life. Lol ! Good point. I don't understand why either..They might as well wait another year or two 😆
