Yash's Parents

I'm confused.Is Yash's father a negative character or a positive one? generally he seems positive but sometimes he says strange things that make it seems as though he has a lot of pride. and also the way everyone seems afraid of him...

And what is wrong with Gayatri? I know she is negative but what is wrong with her memory? Is she ill or does she deliberately forget things and then puts the blame on her daughter in law?

or I would say..they might relate something with the truth has been untold.and that is, the marital status of Aarti, later in the show it might connect to the Aarti's divorce topic..I don't know it just my prediction, I may wrong or may not be.
