After Shrishti Arya's Remix shot its last scene in the second week of June, Priya Wal (Anvesha) took just 36 hours before heading to a salon to get the black colour of her hair back. "I'd been sporting the red hair for Remix more than two years. The show is over now, and I needed a change anyway," she tells us.
Having one day of rest which she spent catching up on sleep, she headed for Adhuna Akhtar's salon B:blunt on Peddar Road. "I even got my hair done red at the same salon, that too by the same girl Mamta. This time, when I directed her to colour it black, she made doubly sure she'd heard me right. She could not believe it," Priya laughs.
Black beauty
What was her first reaction when she saw herself in the mirror? "To be honest, I had forgotten how I looked with black hair. So I did feel weird. But within two days, I knew that I had made the right decision. I think that I look more beautiful with black hair."
Anvesha's red hair had become quite a craze. "Many fans used to come on the sets, meet me, then go back and get their hair coloured red, and return on the sets to show me how they look."
Priya's new look has been seen neither by her parents nor by her friends. "Mom and Dad are in Gandhidham, and I will soon give them a surprise. I will be going home for few days soon. Even Shrishti has not seen Anvesha in her new avatar. I bet she's very curious to take a look at me, and it's not going to be long before we meet up," she chuckles.
