DE-STRESS MANTRA
'I love exploring places on foot'
Avid traveller Karan Tacker on his new found hobby — trekking
MY PERSONAL DE-STRESS MANTRA IS...
working out. It could be doing any form of exercise, may be a run on the street or just doing some Surya Namaskars. Basically, anything that gets the blood pumping in the body. I workout three days in a week, usually at 11 in the night because that's when I get a break from work. I have a dog, Mischief and in my free time I take him for a run. Both of us love doing that. Pets shower selfless love and I prefer pets over gaming. Once in a while, I like getting a massage.
IN MY LEISURE TIME…
In my free time, I like to chill at home with family. I enjoy watching and singing as it destresses me and puts a smile on my face. It's a different thing that I get yelled at for singing aloud around the house (laughs). I like playing sports. We also have a table tennis table, badminton on the sets. So, if I have a break I like to play. I don't read books, I'm quite lazy at that. However, these days I am reading a bit.
A COOK OR A FOODIE...
I'm a big foodie and prefer eating over cooking. I love eating dishes cooked by my mother. She makes the yummiest paranthas with white butter. I also like to eat Continental and Italian cuisine. Every time I've a holiday, I' m eating out with my friends hunting for new restaurants.
MY HOBBIES...
I love to travel anywhere whether it's in India or abroad. I love exploring places on foot. I've recently recently started to trek a little and I love it. I like beaches too, there's something about the sound of waves that is so calming. Every time I know that I'm getting a three-day off, I fly off to Goa.
HOMEBODY OR PARTY
ANIMAL...
I'm an out and out homebody. I love lazying around at home. I like hosting people, so it's always lovely to have my friends over. I am socially disconnected otherwise, I don't attend parties. If I do, I make a quick entry and exit.
TIPS TO DE-STRESS...
Definitely include to get a exercise routine. Any form of exercise that gets the heart rate rising and a good sweat. The best way to destress is also communication as it keeps the heart lighter. So talk away, flush your system and think positive!
