Awkward love scenes? Is a kiss worse?

Ok so I finally got to see the 3/14 episode and I have a question...

It's great that Gopi and Ahem had some romantic moments. However, was anyone a little uncomfortable with the 2+ minute love scene (he's on top of her and you know something is going to happen soon) in the beginning? Unfortunately my parents were in the room when I was watching it and it was awkward lol.

How common is this in serials? One of the reasons I'm really curious is because a certain serial caught a lot of slack for featuring a kiss scene. What's funny is that I would prefer to see a 3 second kiss scene over a 2-3 minute implied sex scene. With a three second scene, you can pretend you didn't see it 😆 but with a 2 min love scene, you either sit through it awkwardly or get up and leave the room awkwardly. But more people seem to get upset over on screen kisses. Does anyone else think this is funny or interesting or weird?

Btw, I do not want to see anyone bashing or discussing the certain serial I mentioned. Nor am I saying that Saathiya has to show on screen kisses. My topic is over kiss scenes vs love scenes in serials.

It did not feel wierd to me ... But I grew up in US ... you see thing like this at the mall ... you see too much of this on American TV... most of the time it is not done tastefully , like it was done on Saathiya ... OMG gopi and ahem scene was done so well . I think I have watch it a billion times ... and will watch it even more ... especially when there is crap on SNS... like U&R

honestly, this love scene and kiss scene of Gohem didn't make me feel awkward at all. I don't know why. I used to said that it's not too intimate or plain but pure, warm, innocent, real, and emotional...Normally, when i watched consummation of other serials, i watched only one time, since i can't stand seeing them...

But for Gohem😳, i watched it again and again...😆 it's so emotional...I mean Gohem love scene seems to link very well to their story line even the song help the mood. So that it melt my heart.. i'm speechless... But in other serial, the SR scenes don't usually connect with the story line...that's why..

I'm guessing you are talking about a kiss because I can't imagine a love scene at a mall, haha 😉

I'm in the US too and that may be why I'm unfazed by on screen kisses. I'm unfazed by sex scenes too but the way they draw it out in some of these serials is awkward. Maybe dialogue or even silence would have been better than a song during their romantic moment. It would have seemed more natural.

In the serials I have seen, the implied sex scenes connect with the storyline. I don't think Saathiya was the first for this.

I personally did not like the song over their scene. Dialogue (minor) would have been suitable and more realistic. To see 2+ min of this seemed too much but that's just my opinion. I know lots of Gop/Ahem fans are ecstatic and I'm glad Gopi got some love from her akroo(sp?) husband 😃

This is exactly why I hardly ever watch TV with my parents. Sometimes even the news become unbearable! 🤣
